The Cavs had the first and fourth picks in 2011. That might be the closest we've seen so far, at least in the modern era.

I mean, if you can convince the Pelicans that they have no chance to compete in the West and should instead rebuild over the next 3 years with 4-5 extra first round picks, sure.

But Boogie. It would be insane though

I hope it doesn't happen in support for parity of the league. Hey, Celtics. Congratulations for coming 1st place in EAST! Here is Anthony Davis!

its not like he would be handed over. basically we would have to give up our entire stockpile of picks just to start

In second though I actually wouldn't mind another superteam being created if to compete a reigning superteam. AD certainly would be able to do that if the Celtics don't give up talent like Isaiah in the process.

Instead of 2 team league, we'd have 3 team league. Fuck the parity.

I think Thomas is a perfect future if they can land AD. There's not many perimeter player with such high caliber offense. Could offer to be nice 1 2 punch imho. But him alone you probably should settle for mediocrity. He's not on Curry/Durant/LBJ level obviously.

Btw, I am also intrigued to see whom they will get with 3rd pick. If somehow Lonzo ends up being a Celt, I will cry 'rigged'.

I've just recently read if Lakers picks doesn't convey, SAC pick is top-1 protected.

yeah basically philly said they will not give us a number 1 pick at all. so worst case situation for the celtics would be we get the 76ers 2019 first round pick. best case we have the 1 and 2 pick next season

So if Lakers picks goes 1 or 6+ next year, and SAC one goes 1 too in 2019, they have the right to swap it for their 2019 own pick?

its not a swap we would just get the philly pick instead which probably wont be that great in 2019. personally i just hope the lakers suck this year and it lands 2-5 so i dont have to sweat out 2019

edit: well i am assuming too much here. we will get the kings or 76ers pick in 2019, whichever one is better unless one of those is the first pick then we automatically get the other one

Remember how 2 weeks later after the KG and PP trade we knew about all the picks? I think it is the same situation. We will only see everything clearer after 1 week when all the information gets out.

This is just speculation based...

Since ainge bent Brooklyn over multiple times, are other GM's reluctant to deal with him?

I'm hearing part of the reason Boston traded down was to save some cap. If they stuck with #1 Boston would have had to trade an end of bench player in order to still be a player for Hayward

Even a shit show management show like garpax traded Calderon and dunleavy in a matter of hours to clear cap for the Wade signing

That's asking for a lot, but you never know. Maybe Magic will just give up and suit up for the team lol

I am trading Smart, Crowder, Bradley, #3 and LAC&MEM picks for him. BKN and LAL/SAC picks are untouchable. #3 or Brown could be swapped, but I've felt too much in love with that guy. Jackson has yet to win my heart. He'll have to earn it, and beating women to show off in front of me is not getting it done.

I love the Tatum pick.

I hope we keep him.
