remeber finals against NJ was about a year ago?
now, Kobe does the patting on the backs of teamates, Kobe is the one scolding his players. Kobe is always talking to them. Has noone seen any Laker games? what does Shaq do? Tells Kobe to shoot the three when he gives him the ball so shaq can get the tripple double? lol. Kobe is constantly scolding at Fox, Fisher, Medenvenko, Madsen, he's always patting them all telling them good job. Shaq, I've never seen Shaq get vocal with anyone, except by calling them his team (that was true 2 years ago). Shaq is a leader on the team too, but Kobe equals if not surpasses him in it.

Colin was being sarcastic Poolit, he didnt mean that post which you quoted him on, and I strongly disagree with the Kobe being the leader as you say, sorry, IMO and of many many many other ppl ( Including Laker haterz ) Shaq is and will be the leader till he retires, as you say you havent seen Shaq patting ppl etc, I dont believe that, cuz he does it quite often ( maybe not that often this year becuz of his own problems, but the other years he has. ) Kobe does it also, BUT no matter what Shaq is the leader, without Shaq the Lakers do tend to fall apart even if kobe scores like a 35, becuz Shaq draws attention, he's that good. Yeah, but they can't win a championship without Shaq. Shaq is the most dominating big man in the NBA. You can't replace him. Take him out of the Lakers, and they are just another regular team.

The oldguy would be me now that I'm back but I don't care the age if your opinion has any sense. I admire Houston shooting abilities but that is not all you have to do to be the leader of your team. Spree is more of a leader than Houston, and if leadership is based on stats; then Thomas is the real leader of the team, he's good in scoring, led the team in rebounds, in blocks and 3 pt %.
