I think with the big 3 there, all Boston needs are guys who can do at least two of these four things: Play good defence, hit the open jumper, rebound and feed the stars.
While Knight doesn't have great range, he is a great defender and can set up teammates pretty damn well. He's the definition of a solid backup point guard.
James Posey, as we all know, plays good defence, rebounds well and is a good target for the spot up jumper, pretty much anywhere on the court.
Guys like Ryan Gomes, Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins are all roleplayers who also fit this criteria nicely.
Both these guys are good fits for the team IMO. I'm jumping the gun, but IF they were to sign these guys, the roster is looking like:
C - Kendrick Perkins (5/5/1)
PF - Kevin Garnett (22/13/4)
SF - Paul Pierce (25/6/4)
SG - Ray Allen (26/5/4)
PG - Rajon Rondo (6/4/4)
-----------------------
6th - Ryan Gomes (12/6/2)
7th - Tony Allen (12/4/2)
8th - Brevin Knight (9/3/7)
9th - James Posey (8/5/1)
10th - Glen Davis (???)
11th - Leon Powe (4/3/1)
12th - Gabe Pruitt (???)
13th - Brian Scalabrine (4/2/1)
14th - Brandon Wallace (???)
In my opinion, that bench looks pretty good. They will go at least 9 deep every night, most likely 10. That's pretty damn good. IF they get these guys.

If they can get Skinner, Knight and Posey/Singleton then they should have enough depth to go very deep in the East. PJ Brown is another option. As is Eddie Jones, as apparently he is not wanted back by Miami. Either way 3 solid vets would round this team out nicely.

Philly too, Andre is a beast and just about ready to be an all-star, if he isnt already.
Take out Mavs also. Harris is a good fit for Dallas.
That's good to hear that KG is out of Minny, one less opponent to worry about in NW Division like they caused much threat to the Nuggets anyways
wrong wrong wrong. mavs and bulls would both kill for a player who could score down low. i guarentee either of them would instantly trade thier pick for jefferson straight up. you got the soft mavs who get bullied but guys half a foot shorter and the bulls who only lack a insider and they are on thier way to the finals. both those teams belong right there on that list.
maceo24 wrote:benji, True, but that If is a pretty BIG if. Im still giving them till next year to really be serious. Theyre a lock for the playoffs, for sure, but a PG with playoff experience, they wont get my vote.
