Damn. I dont think its possible to give away a game any worse then the bulls did tonight.

Sat May 07, 2005 1:12 pm

Chandler is so stupid. I consider him alot more stupid than Duhon because of that flagrant foul and because of that stupid shot. He was too excited and instead of having his skinny ass head focused on passing the ball out, he takes a fadeaway. Oh well, I thought the Bulls had this game for sure.

Sat May 07, 2005 1:14 pm

wat was wrong with Ben Gordon???

Sat May 07, 2005 1:20 pm

Pargo's shot selection down the stretch really hurt too. He was hot in the first half but didn't do anything positive in the second. That play with Duhon was painful to watch. The game was theirs to win.

Call me Andrew Van Gundy, but I thought there were more than a few suspect calls; offensive fouls called on the Bulls in the no charge area with the defenders moving their feet, shooting fouls called when players weren't far enough into the attempt to warrant such a call, that Haywood free throw that should have been a violation, a lot of contact around the basket that wasn't called at both ends. Ultimately, the Bulls lost the game on that miscommunication, but the Wizards had a few runs (beginning with the first one in the the first quarter) spurred on by some questionable calls. But Chicago had a chance to rise above that and they didn't.

It's disappointing now, but looking at the big picture it's hard to be too disappointed in the strides the Bulls made and the success they had this season. A 26 game turnaround, home court in the playoffs and remaining competitive even without two of their starters. All that after an 0-9 start.

Fine effort to say the least. :applaud:

The NBA needs to get rid of the "restricted area" but it clearly doesn't work. The refs just call it whatever they want and follow the momentum.

You see players taking flops inside the key and the offensive player gets called for an offensive player. It goes vice versa too. (N)

Sat May 07, 2005 1:35 pm

That's a good idea. No point in having an official area if that's how they're going to call it. It's hardly the first time offensive fouls have been called inside that area. Might as well take it back to the "general area, situation specific" rules.

Sat May 07, 2005 1:59 pm

Yeah, true! When Nuggets played in Game 2, i saw a bunch of calls against them, but actually the fouls were clearly on Spurs! They should make an automatic ref or sumthin :)

Sat May 07, 2005 3:35 pm

why didn't they use the Last and Only Timeout to talk it through???
Though this would let both teams had the time for rest..
but at least it was better than Chandler taking the last shot...which.. even it won't gave them a victory if he made it..

but.. too bad..
it's all over..

at one point i thought Bulls gonna win and we would've game 7.. but..
wizards came back.. Larry Hughes was playing great defensively.. and
Arenas played bad but made some important shots..

Hinrich and Nichioni played well for the bulls..

Overall, it was a great game ..

Sat May 07, 2005 3:39 pm

yeah what happened to B Gordon? he only played 16 minutes. Did he get injured?

Sat May 07, 2005 3:39 pm

It was a great series, I missed the game tonight, very dissapointed in that, but I'm happy the Wizards came out with the win.

Sat May 07, 2005 3:43 pm

Great game, good job Wiz.

Gordon just wasn't playing well as far as I know.

Sat May 07, 2005 3:44 pm

That's so sad. As I Bulls fan all i gotta say "We're coming back next season" stronger and better!!!!

Sat May 07, 2005 4:32 pm

larry hughes vs. dwyane wade.. yessssssss

Sat May 07, 2005 5:00 pm

Gordon only managed 1 assist with an assist to turnover ratio of 0.2..... and he didn't get a shot up at all.
I think at the end of the game, the Bulls made too many mistakes. Hinrich should've tried to draw a foul on Arenas.. or passed it to the man behind him. Then that Duhon play was just weird... and finally... CHandler had like... 4 seconds when he got the ball.. he could've moved back for a three... or given it up to someone for the three....
anyway.. Next year!!!!! These bulls managed to win 2 games WITHOUT Deng and Curry.

Sat May 07, 2005 7:17 pm

I was hoping the Bulls would win....man the Bulls screwed up at the end....that Duhon play was hilarious...but poor guy he was playing hurt all night long.

Chandler also messed up...Duhon was open for a three..he should have at least passed....I mean why did he go for a two....oh well I guess u cant blame him hes still inexperienced.

And why did Skiles keep playing a hurt Duhon?....I know Skiles is a very strict coach and doesnt like it when his players play badly but Gordon should have at least gotten a better chance to comeback...he didnt even wanna shot all he did was pass the ball when he came back which was for like 2 minutes.

But as Andrew says, the Bulls have already overachieved this season and this playoff loss shouldnt take away the fact on how much this team has turned around.

Sat May 07, 2005 8:03 pm

man!!! In a movie... the Bulls would've, against all odds, defeated the Wizards, Deng and Curry would miraculously come back half way thru the Miami series in game 7 and get into the Eastern conference finals and eventually win the NBA championship... lol.. I should be a producer :P

Sat May 07, 2005 9:57 pm

but you have to let the Wizards gain the credit..
they haven't been able to enter into 2nd round of playoffs for 20+ years..

Sat May 07, 2005 10:46 pm

gordan played 16 mins and was 0/1 whats up with that

Sat May 07, 2005 11:03 pm

i wonder which Bulls players will be back next season though?

Sun May 08, 2005 1:00 am

Chandler - yes
Duhon - maybe
Curry - maybe

Sun May 08, 2005 1:07 am

the bulls put themselves in position to win (and eventually lose) the game.. that's what i wanted to see.. no more miracle comebacks/embarassing starts. just come out, compete, play hard- they way they've played most of the year

i'm pretty pissed about several things, other then the bulls losing of course:

-gordon should have been playing down the stretch. he had a bad start but him just being out there drew so much attention from the wiz defense. the bulls got a bunch of open looks/layups because of this.

-screw pargo. his shoot happy style looks great when the team's down by 20 or whatever because if he misses, oh well, they'd lose anyway. he is not a clutch player. again, ben gordon should have been taking the shots/minutes pargo was taking in the 2nd half. you don't ride a guy for the entire season and then get off on game 6. terrbile coaching blunder by coach skiles

-chandler must have had a brain fart or something. maybe he didn't know how much time was left, which i could understand. he could have at least stepped back to the 3pt line though

and last but not least.. kirk fricking hinrich's pass to duhons back. the leader of the team can't be doing that shit.. especially out of a timeout. man, just typing this out makes me want to take another shot of tequila...

i wonder which Bulls players will be back next season though?

davis, chandler, curry, gordon, deng, hinrich, duhon, nocioni i think for sure. pike only out of necessity because of his salary but i could see him being packaged in a trade

paxson has reiterated over and over he plans to resign curry and chandler....

harrington and griff are capable backups but i think the team still wants to upgarde at PF/C and a tall SG. donyell marshall was at game 5 so maybe he's a possibility for the pf/c. for the tall SG- not sure who's available off the top of my head

i'll leave the eulogy to andrew ;)

congrats to the wiz

Sun May 08, 2005 1:41 am

and last but not least.. kirk fricking hinrich's pass to duhons back. the leader of the team can't be doing that shit.. especially out of a timeout. man, just typing this out makes me want to take another shot of tequila...

I don't think you can blame that on Kirk. The pass was sent, and Duhon turned.

Sun May 08, 2005 1:52 am

they talked about it in the postgame...

yes you blame hinirch. he should have established some kind of eye contact or something with duhon before throwing the pass. duhon was running the play called out of the timeout.

meh i don't even want to argue or discuss this anymore

Sun May 08, 2005 4:24 am

It's hilarious to see the Bulls fans complaining about calls when they are the dirtiest team in the league and most likely the biggest floppers. I give tons of credit to the Wizards, Arenas shot 6-24, Hughes shot 7-21 and Jamison shot 8-17, not great games but they still managed to get it done thanks to key contributions from guys like Haywood, Jeffries and Ruffin.

Sun May 08, 2005 6:59 am

Don't blame on Pargo..He played great..
He put in some great shots, which gave the bulls the lead.
But Gordon.. he didn't play in this playoff as well as the season.
Maybe Wizards had already thought bout how to stop Him. who knows..

I thought Duhon should be blamed for looking away, cuz he's the one who's goin out there close to Hinrich and had an open look. So why did he turn his head away?
He should'd known that the pass was goin to him.
