They made it with like 32 wins or something, it was a pretty crap East that year. MJ dropped 62 on the Celts in the first round.

By the way I checked the boxscore from Nets-Boston game and I noticed their starters didn't play a lot of minutes except Pierce and Payton was injured. Who started the game for the Celtics in the 3rd Quarter? damn to get 8 points it makes me believe the reserve guy started the 2nd half.

It was Payton and Lafrentz. I don't think either have something wrong with them, they just need the rest for the playoffs (Watch out for Payton -- he will be a beast.)

And before anyone starts bashing Doc Rivers for letter his starters rest, I'd like to make two points:

1) The Celtics kept the Cavs in the hunt by coasting against them in the game before. Had the starters played the fourth quarter, the Cavs's dreams would have been dead after their 81st game. The Celtics's coasting sort of evened out seeing how their two last games were against Cleveland and New Jersey.

2) If Doc Rivers wants to rest his team -- let him. Screw the other team. Cleveland will be the first team in history to start out "something"-""something" and not make the playoffs. They fucked themselves.

oh yeah i forgot  MJ has a career in washington too......(and i thought that was just a publicity stunt)
MJ as a bulls make the playoffs every year......he bombarded boston with 63 points in the year everyone thought he will be out for the rest of the season because of a knee injury......what's Mj career high? is it 79? and who got a higher rookie/sophomore points? lebron or micheal? because lebron in his sophomore year got 57 already. :?:

Michael Jordan's career high is 69 points, 63 in the playoffs (which is also an NBA playoff high). Jordan scored 49 points in his rookie year, but only 33 his sophomore year - that year he only started 7/18 games playing just 25.1 minutes per game due his broken foot, but exploded for 63 in the playoffs. In his third year in the league and his second full one, he scored 61.

Hello there,

Andrew I can tell you a truly hardcore fan specially a Bulls fan. What Chicago Bulls website do you visit ? I'm a Bulls' fan myself and I'd love to learn as much history as you do. Please provide me with links if all possible :)

Thanks.

The only one I check out regularly is the official site, for Bill Wennington's columns and any other features they post. There's a fairly comprehensive history section there. The Jordan tribute section at NBA.com's pretty good too: Jordan Retrospective. I've also got a few NBA reference books, so I do have resources to look up any stats and records I don't know offhand.
