Webber traded

sure the Kings didn't get as much in return as they could've, but this trade wasn't about that.

this trade was about addition by subtraction.

less of CWebb, means more shots for Peja, Brad, Mike, and Cat. (this was mostly about Peja getting more shots and style of play)

The Kings had their chance to win a title with Webber as the main cog, but that time is gone, and it isn't coming back. They weren't going anywhere but a 1st or 2nd round exit with him.

Its not like Webber was the one coming up with the big shots in the playoffs anyways, Bibby was THAT guy.

Now, even though their immediate chances of winning a title aren't improved with him gone, the team now has a chance to start molding itself for the future into a team that MIGHT have a chance.

The mistake I see, is Petrie putting his trust in Peja to become "The Man"
Yes, he put up big numbers, even MVP numbers when Webber was injured in the past, but we've all seen Peja's vanishing acts in the playoffs.

Suckremento, looks like an era is finished, and a new one of "Almost-Good-Enough" is about to begin.

stupid
but thats dedication

i dont understand how its stupid. if your loyal to a team your loyal to a team. period.

of course i would never support a trade like this, but i would still go to pacers games and be a die hard pacer fan.

ty ty ty ty ty!!!!! to many people jump teams cause of a player. imo if you are a fan of a team(should be home team but to each thier own) you are a fan no matter what they do or how badly they might be playing.

@Sauru: agreed. I myself am fan of players though more than teams. Dont care where the player plays, Im fan of the player and rarely of the team he plays in.

Im fan of KG for example but not the fan of the team, however, I am fan of the Bulls (and MJ), together.

Go Ben Gordon!

However I supported Sixers in 99 finals and started respecting AI, so now with Webber I hope they will do even better.

Peja, Bibby, Mobley and Miller are all All-Star caliber.

They'll be fine.

Sauru wrote:worst post ever! btw when you say only good player on the team then list 4 players the team aint that bad off. also i bet the kings do better now without webber.

Me too.

sac-1 wrote:WAT ARE YOU TALKIN ABOUT ARE YOU HIGH OR SOMETHIN WEBBER AND PEJA TOGETHER AND BIBBY AND BRAD AND MOBLEY THATS JUST MAGIC WITH OUT HIM THEY ARE SHIT :!: :!: :!:

Go watch some 2003-2004 games. They were #1 in the league without him.

:lol Really..

J-Rich Fan wrote:I think it was a bad move for the Kings, they were better off trading Peja for Odom, but it looks like they can still play pretty good

That wouldn't work because he's another Webber. Just more athletic and he doesn't get as much touches on the team he's on and not as good a passer as C-Webb.

Sit wrote:Nice... Webber took the Kings from nowhere to Conference Finals.. maybe him and AI will take Philly from playoffs to Ring... I'm not sure though.

They have a great team! didnt lose any of the young guys and got webber for nearly nothing!

Oh, and Bibby, Peja, Turkoglu, and Christie has nothing to do with that.

I agreed with pretty much all you said, but Peja is a guy that relies on shots to be affective so if Webber's taking all the shots, I don't think you could fully blame him for his being less effective in the playoffs.

I would have liked to see what the Kings could have done without Webber in the Playoffs last year.

I still think Peja started playing a lot worse upon the arrival of Mobley...

Peja, Bibby, Mobley and Miller are all All-Star caliber.

You can't honestly think that mobley is all star caliber..

Anyone who complains about bad trade logic in NBA Live need to look at this trade.
