If you don't do that, you'll end up like a Bulls fan who refuses to believe the 1996 season is over.

What on earth are you talking about? Anyhoo... the Bulls have had a wonderfull season, I think they'll break the record and finally get 70! Rodman was a terrific pickup.

Hey Jae, do you remember that one time on the old forum when that Bulls fan came into a Bulls thread and was saying stuff like "Yeah the Bulls are still alright, I mean they still have Kukoc and Harper..." months after the Bulls had dealt Kukoc and Harper had left? We gave him heaps of shit for that, and then every time the Bulls were mentioned, someone would say "Yeah it's ok, they still have Kukoc..."

My apologies for posting completely off topic.

Hehe that was Andrew wasn't it  jk

My personal fave bit, was when Pavel said he was a Manchester United fan. So someone asked him to name who plays for Manchester United to prove he's not a bandwagoner. And he did list the team. Only it was the team from about 4 years before that

If I had been online yesterday, I would have posted a friendly reminder about easing up on the personal comments and keeping it on topic, but you guys have actually done that since the initial clash, so I must offer sincere kudos for that. (Y) This thread has shifted back on topic fairly nicely and it's the kind of debate that the new rules certainly tolerate. I think this discussion is fine to go on, that's my official moderator/admin stance on what's happened so far.

OK, with that formality out of the way, allow me to enter the fray...

On the lighter side:

Ugh, people are going to believe that now. (N) I think I remember the post, but I can't remember the actual poster. One of those running gags, right up there with showerfun, "I can't believe my...", the Darrick Martin/Yinka Dare fanclubs and posting in black.

Anyone who's been around the forum a while and seen my posts regarding Shaq knows that I'm not exactly a fan, but I would not consider myself a hater either. My opinion varies and while I like watching him play, admire his dominance and even vote for him in the All-Star balloting, sometimes I don't care for his outspoken manner.

Don't get me wrong, I believe in freedom of speech and I admire someone who will stand up for what they believe in, but some of Shaq's comments in the past have reeked of a bully mentality, and I don't admire bullies. Some of the things he says I don't agree with and others I might shake my head at, but as I said in my first post in this thread, it's not my place to judge him or his feelings.

Well, I finished off the post. It pretty much is obvious I respect Dre's opinions but do not respect nor do I agree with Trio Bobo's or Shit's posts.
Ops, typos.

All in all, I think we definitely got off on the wrong foot (ya think dre? ) but bottom line I now understand where you are coming from. Sure you disagree with my points and I disagree with alot of yours but that's all gravy. I'd never expect anyone to bow down to me or my opinions and I can honestly say that I respect your knowledge as a fan and where you come from with your theories.

Same here, I doubt we can change the way we think, oh well, it was fun. :D

You're an alright dude Jackal and I can't begin to apologize enough for my namecalling, it's not my style.

Hehe, no offence taked Dre, I've been through worse on the forums. It's all good. It was what went at the moment, I've got alot of respect for the way you handled the situation, awhile ago I would've felt much-o offended. It was a good discussion and I enjoyed having it with you. (Y)

Oh, lastly...I apologise for the bitch. I'll refrain from using the word as much as I do. Hehe...

Martha Stewart & Dr. Phil were the shiznit, when I read it I almost felt bad for the way you set yourself up, almost eh...almost. :P
