AMAZING PURCHASE. 76ers bought the actual basketball court on which Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points. Will mostly be preserved.
Sharing history with @Sixers fans, everyone at 50th anniversary of 100-point game on Mar 2 at WFC will get small 2"x2" piece of the court.
The Sixers are expected to interview lead assistant Michael Curry for coaching opening next week, league sources say.
The Philadelphia 76ers were trying to trade up for a top pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and indicated a willingness to discuss Joel Embiid or any player on their team, an NBA source told Forbes.com's Mark Heisler.
While the souce is unnamed, Heisler has long covered Phil Jackson, and the New York Knicks will have one of the top selections in the draft. Heisler also has close connections to the Los Angeles Lakers.

NovU wrote:Greek Freak, MCW, and Jabari are going to be probably one of the best 1-2-3 combo in the league within 5 years if things go as planned.
NovU wrote:I wonder though, how will the chemistry be like once Wroten comes back. I'm thinking it'll be ok because Wroten likes to take it to the rim while Canaan shoots from outside even though this duo isn't going to be anything special by any means. So it looks like it will be Wroten/Canaan/Jrich/Sampson rotation for the time being.

Welcome bro bro...... We're gonna kill it @JaValeMcGee34
The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to waive center JaVale McGee in time for him to sign with a playoff team, a person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports. The person requested anonymity because the decision had not been announced.
Players waived by March 1 can still sign with teams that compete in the postseason, meaning the 27-year-old McGee will likely have a fruitful market when he clears waivers. Whether it's a new job with one of the Texas teams (San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets), the Miami Heat or another contender, McGee has every reason to be enthused about what lies ahead — especially considering he didn't give any money back.
Despite having buyout talks with the team in recent days, McGee didn't wind up giving back any of his salary owed ($11.2 million for this season, $12 million for next season)
