That's a shame KG has withdrawn but seeing as though he's still nursing the abdominal injury it's certainly understandable. No disrespect to Sheed intended but he seems kind of like a default pick; the only reason I had him in my predictions was to fulfil the requirements of picking a centre amongst the reserves. Still, congrats to him.

Would've liked Turkoglu, Ray Allen or Michael Redd in the game instead of Sheed. If another center needed to be picked, I'd go with Ilgauskas, based on his performance this year. Doc Rivers gets to pick the new starter, and I imagine it will be Bosh.

Well, they'll still be left out unless there's a need for another replacement. I'd agree that Bosh is the most likely candidate to replace KG in the starting lineup.

Well, Ray Ray is going to get his chance. He'll be replacing Caron Butler in the game.

I assume they'll be replacing Kidd too if the trade does go through in time, though more likely he'll just play the All-Star game for the East (representing the Nets) and the situation would be resolved one way or another before the trade deadline.

:( No Caron Butler sucks, but now the Celts have two players in the ASG again.

I doubt the Kidd trade will go through, and if it does, I agree with Andrew that he will stay with the East. If not, it will be interesting to see how its handled. And there would need to be 2 replacements, if it were to be even. (13v13)

If the trade goes through beforehand I'm assuming they'll still name a replacement unless it's too late, in which case the East might just be left with 11 players, similar to when Karl Malone had to skip the 2002 game due to family business that came up at the last second.
