I think it's a complete joke when you have so many players in the NBA at the same time averaging better than some of the all time greats. It just proves how much Stern has fucked up the game and tailored it to the offensive player. No offense to any of the great scorers now, but I think only a handful of them would be putting up the numbers they are now if they were put in the NBA of years past.

damn right and the big problem i see is the foul calling. breath on a guy and he shoots 2. makes players have to play wear defense just to not foul out. problem is, the league thinks you need scores in the 100's to be interesting. won t be fixed til we get good players and teams back in the nba. in my opinion we have too many teams keeping the talent level of teams watered down

i love both players and quite frankly i love how gil is standing up to kobe. i'm getting pretty bored of players being part of the mutual admiration club ( see wade/kobe, kobe/lebron, wade/lebron) -- at least this is something to look forward to now. arenas might be insane to call out kobe like that, but god damn do i ever love him for showing some balls.

agent 0 is the fucking man.

Exactly. I have to admit, I like a high scoring game best, but not when the scoring comes from free throws. I can't think of a game that bores me more than one where each team shoots 40+ free throws. Ridiculous. That's why I enjoy watching the Suns play.

Gilbert is a funny-man type of guy, and the comment he made is probably a lot more light-hearted than people realise.

Arenas loves being a headcase...nobody takes anything he says all that seriously...including his teammates.

Comparing big #s in the era where Stern made defense illegal is not that impressive to me. Scores are going to go up...and for everybody. Kobe's 81 & Wilt's 100 will probably be surpassed the way things are going.

Arenas is a lil underrated and he's one of the best players in the league period

Arenas has a point...atleast this season. I dont see much difference between their games stats wise this season at all.
