I don't think you would get much in return if you trade him... too bad you guys didn't get rid of him in the preseason.. the trouble between him and karl gave the team good reason to do so...
Thu Nov 16, 2006 4:05 pm
O well, maybe Nuggets will do better without him, hey atleast now Evans, Smith and Najera get minutes, thouse guys just come in, dont jack up stupid shots, get boards, lay ups, play D.
Thu Nov 16, 2006 4:24 pm
jeez the nuggets blew it aggainst the Magic 99-108 i think was the score, Melo with 34 points, but 6 TO's

and yeah Martin out for season, im feeling a slight case of deja vu.
Im sure we could get something for him, he's a solid 10 ppg, 10 rpg player when he's not having knee surgery....
Also that was the end of a 4 game away streak, in which we went 3-1 which is pretty good
Next is the raptors at home, should come away with a win
Thu Nov 16, 2006 4:40 pm
Nevermind the 6 turnovers, turnovers are up from the superstars (from what I have noticed) I think its the harder calls on traveling, palming, etc. Paul pierce had 12 TO's the other night. Gotta love how Melo's playing, whats that ike his 5th-6th 30+ performance in a row? Its good to see him getting some recognition, its well overdue.
Thu Nov 16, 2006 5:35 pm
Melo gave up some crucial turnovers which cost us the game. In my opinion he didnt play so well. Man our D sucks. When a guy like Keyon Dooling torches you there has to be something wrong. I'm glad we kept Dwight in low numbers. Oh well 3-1 like Scotty said wasnt bad. After Martin's injury im kinda hoping we get in the lottery now so we have a chance to recruit one of these stud big men in next years draft.
JR smith played pretty good tonight but Boykins ruins this team seriously.

it sucks that martin's out.... i think he just needs to get healthy.... wish him the best of luck with recovery

so you dont want them to make the playoffs now?
Fri Nov 17, 2006 2:58 pm
Its not like i dont want to be in the playoffs but if we dont make it i wouldnt mind as we have a chance to rebuild which is what we need. Or do you want the old mediocre Denver Nuggets who never got past the 1st round again.
Fri Nov 17, 2006 3:38 pm
Depends, if we get a team that we can actually beat when we bring our A game then yes I want them to be in the playoffs, if its going to be SA or LAC again, ill take the lottery( and if we do its still gonna be pretty low 12-13-14 around there)
Fri Nov 17, 2006 3:53 pm
Thats still gonna get us a good pick in this years draft. I'm just sick of this same old team who never accomplish anything, i feel bad for Melo hes the only one who trys and who acts like a champion, the rest of em seem to only play for money.
Sun Nov 19, 2006 11:17 am
Playing canada's team today. Hopefully Nene plays, he still didnt prove himself he is worth 60M. Step up in the 4th, play good D, get the W.
Sun Nov 19, 2006 4:34 pm
YUP!! They should've kept ELSON instead of NENE.. But i think NENE has a lot of potential.. Check back on his stats after three or four years you'll see..
Sun Nov 19, 2006 4:37 pm
Good win over the Raptors, Melo continues to dominate 34 points 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Whoever said he isnt an all round player well look at those stats and hes done it before this season aswell. Hes got to be an MVP candidate surely.

First off - I am a Nuggets fan (almost entirely because of my man love for Carmelo)
I will never be a true fan like that of Indy or Riot until I actually live in a NBA city, because I will never be able to really have that feeling of "The Home Team". No i'm not a bandwagoner, I follow individuals, not teams at the moment, although I do have my favorites.
I have been waiting for this sort of production. Carmelo is capable of 30/6/5, while last season was very good, statistically he was one dimensional - a pure scorer. We all know Carmelo can score. We all know Carmelo can rebound. I really don't think that 2 APG is very indicative of Carmelo's passing ability.
Carmelo has always been a joy to watch, from downloading games of Carmelo in those yellow Oak Hill uni's to watching hours upon hours of Syracuse games to finally seeing his first NBA season, I have always seen the talent was there to become one of the best. For some reason, however, it never seemed like he played to the best of his abilities. This season so far looks as though he has really come to his senses and has a fire inside him that makes him want to dominate this league. Enough of this riding behind LBJ, Wade and even Bosh. Carmelo has already established himself and now he is fortifying and moving up on his position. He is a potential top 5 player already.
Best of luck to him and the Nuggets this season. I truly hope Carmelo gets the credit and attention he deserves.

Thanks for the tip..I really love to see Melo playing in superstar level..And the website found to be very useful for some of my friends here in our country since they didn't apply for NBATV on cable..Thanks again bro..

Carmelo is a good reason to support the Nuggets, even tho i went for the Nuggets before he arrived he rekindled my love with precious Denver. Good to know we got another fan amongst the boards.

Melo leads all scorers now

Up next we got clowns from chicago...
Mon Nov 20, 2006 12:43 pm
Hmmm it will a tough game, we match up with them quite well tho, only thing i would be worried about in this game is if our bench can match the Bulls bench which is highly doubtful. This game might possibly go into overtime.
Mon Nov 20, 2006 2:32 pm
it could possibly go into overtime since you second unit doesn't do much at all..boykins gets turnovers..and is a shotchucker..joe smith doesn't do much but float around..kleiza doesn't do much either..the bulls got nocioni..sweetney..the rookies..but your team still has an advantage when it comes to the starters..so..it'll probably be a close game..
Mon Nov 20, 2006 7:08 pm
I really like Reggie atm, hes playing physical and playing great basketball. I think he should start over Najera, were gonna need rebounders against Wallace and Evans is absolutely dominate at rebounding. Boykins has to leave this team, he jacks up way too many shots. Miller is earning his respect back from me but still id prefer a pass first PG over both our guards. Diawara played pretty good against the Raptors, i think he will apart of our future.
Tue Nov 21, 2006 12:28 am
Diawara is a good pick for the Nuggets since he blends in with the Nuggets offense..I really think you guys should trade Andre Miller for like a better PG..There are many teams that will be willing to work out a deal for Andre Miller..Evans is great..I also think he should be starting instead of Najera coz Evans plays good defense and he can outmuscle his opponents in rebounding..More rebounds for the Nuggets means more oppurtunities for them too..

Proof or ban.

I was wrong about Miller, he isnt so bad and is good enough at the moment until something better turns up. He is reliable (almost got a triple double) and also he has pretty good knowledge of the game. Boykins should be the one to be booted off the team.

BUMPAGE
We just beat the Bulls 113 - 109, J.R Smith played really well scoring 36 points, Carmelo played like crap although he scored 29 he had 10 turnovers which is very worrying. Camby and Miller played their usual games. Evans as usual was awesome off the bench, 8 points and 8 rebounds in 18 mins. I knew it would be close, but if Melo was playing well we would of won easily. Next up Golden State.
