You gotta love all the haters who know fuck all about basketball, since hte Raps started they have made the playoffs more than several teams, such as the Warriors. The Raps have a very strong fan base, in Canada, the US and worldwide. Since VC's value went down and we got fuck all for him things haven't looked so good.. but with Bosh, Villanueva, Joey-G and Jose calderon they have a bright future... look at the Bulls now comapred to 2000 and the same with the Clips.

The Raps suck now but it takes time just like it did for the Bulls when Michael Jordan was there. Didnt it take him like 6 years to win his first Championship title? I mean C'mon the Raps are still in rebuilding stages and its only tyhe first year with CV31 and Grahm and Calderon.

Sry for dbl posting, but did any one see that nasty dunk by Bosh in the Raps vs Cavs game? The ally from Grahm? Man that was sick, he got so high!!!
Thu Nov 10, 2005 8:16 am
the way this team is heading its going to be a really, really, really poor mans indiana. sorry, but no one on your team has true superstar championship potential, and when you do get someone of that ilk he'll bolt as soon as humanly possible. charlotte has a brighter future than toronto, hell, pretty much anyone has a brighter future. what a mess. watching the raptors play is just plain sad.

HIPN: just use the edit button next time..
magius: a really, really, really poor man's indiana?? is there even such a thing? defeats the purpose of "poor man's"
we're all really really really poor man's version of lebron james
Thu Nov 10, 2005 8:59 am
more like lebrons a really, really, really poor man's version of me. unfortunately, im a really, really, really poor man. whoa... paradox... trippy.

We just got our asses kicked by 30 and next up is Cleveland.
Bosh had an "off" game I can say. 15 and 6 today. I didn't really see the game but by some of the stats I can tell.
As always we got our asses kicked on rebouding. Are leading rebounder was Jalen Rose with ... 6 damn rebounds !!! We were out rebound again 53-35. By 18 folks, c'mon as well as a 16-3 edge on the offensive glass.
Yo, do u live in toronto?

there is no such thing as an unbeatable team for any team meaning, that charlotte CAN infact beat the spurs, or us beating the heat, but obviously there is only a small chance of it happening. sports are only predictable to a certain extent. dunno if my post made any sense.

i will be very sad if toronto will be 0-82

I think we're a bottom cellar team unless we make some changes. We can win a few games, but I don't see us winning more than 20 at this rate.

atleast we got New York to accompany us.

They've got to be embarrased. They got so much young guys and marbury, richardson, and curry in their starting 5. How can you not win a single game yet?
Getting back to the point of the Raptors, let's try to be optimistic..you never know. Last year the Bulls were 0-9 to start the season, and they ended up in the playoffs. Ofcourse its cuz they had talent in Ben Gordon, Kirk Hinrich, Tyson Chandler, but in this league you never know. But with all the problems that the Raptors need to fix, the reluctant side of me agrees with you..

Let's just not be the 16-66 Raptors of 97-98...

i cant remember too much about the knicks' season standings for the last few years, other then us having the same record as them last year, and us playing them a few years back in the playoffs, but is it just me or when we are doing well, so are they, but when we suck, so do they?
Mon Nov 14, 2005 8:20 am
We (The Raptors) lost again today, this time to the Sonics, our record now is 0-5
Mon Nov 14, 2005 8:37 am
you mean 0-6.
Don't worry, Hawks are also 0-6 and the knicks might join if they lose tonight. So don't feel bad

It's never too late man
Raptors put in a good effort but were killed on the charity stripe 41-18. They could of gotten away with the win. Villanueva and James played awsome today.
That's all I'll say for now.

CV did good you see that putback, dam that was nice.

Talk among GMs at the Coaches vs. Cancer tournament at the Garden: Denver GM Kiki Vandeweghe not expected to return after this season, and could be heading for Atlanta or Toronto with Hawks and Raptors looking to clean house. Ex-Orlando GM John Gabriel could be in line for Toronto job. ... Ex-Cavalier exec Mark Werkentine already being mentioned for Denver post if Vandeweghe doesn't get the big payday he's seeking. Werkentine arrived in Denver this season to work in front office. ... One member of the Kings thinks Sacramento's poor start partly due to fellow players starting to quit on Rick Adelman. ... Washington shooter Jarvis Hayes, stuck behind Antonio Daniels and Caron Butler, looking like a top candidate to be on the move. ... Ex-St. John's PG Omar Cook is playing in Belgium. ... CBA opened play Friday with ex-Jersey high school phenom/NBA washout Lenny Cooke on injured list in Rockford, Ill.

Well this could be a stroke of hope for the Hawks or Raptors. I dont think the Nuggets will pay him big considering in the offseason he was almost going to take the Cavaliers GM spot. Whoever gets him certaintly should be happy cause he's a pretty good GM...probably top 5 in the league right now and if he turned that most shitty Denver Nuggets team around he'll find it way easier in Atlanta or Toronto considering they actually have some talent to work with. Thought Id bring in possibly some good news for Toronto fans.

I think Babcock needs more time to ressurect the Raptors. He's somewhat on the right track, whenever you're in a rebuilding mode you're going to lose games. What the Raptors really need is fan support right now. We need to stay positive and let Babcock work things out. After maybe one or two more years without more wins, then we should be worried. It happened to the Blue Jays, they had a 5 year plan to rebuild under the guidance of J.P. Riccardi, and in year 4 ( ? ) of the plan now, they've definately improved.
Mon Nov 21, 2005 6:34 am
We won against Miami, and even though they didn't have Shaq and a few others, I think it's a pretty big confidence booster to win against such a talented team and right before our Western conference road trip.
I never really knew that Bosh was first in double-doubles in the NBA, that's good stuff.
Go raptors!
