None. He has a no trade clause.

Tue Nov 08, 2005 9:16 am

Is it me or are there a whole lot of new Kobe fans on the forums???

Tue Nov 08, 2005 10:36 am

is there any way to override a no-trade clause?

Tue Nov 08, 2005 10:37 am

I think on his trade clause it may state that both parties need to agree to a trade.

Tue Nov 08, 2005 10:53 am

Well he's only averaging 36/7/5 and shooting .494. Get rid of the scrub!

Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:05 pm

Trade him to the Colorado State Penetentiary for about 10-15 years of his life.

Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:06 pm

Kobe also averaging 7 boards and 5 assists. He's playign smart basketball...

If only he had played smart husband.

Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:07 pm

too bad being a husband has nothing to do with the nba whatsoever

Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:08 pm

how about trade you there?

Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:09 pm

If it was up to me I would only trade Kobe for Lebron.

Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:26 pm

too bad cleveland wouldn't do that.

I think people like you need to get over the fact that Kobe made a mistake. He has said sorry to all involved and more. Everyone makes friggin mistakes but Kobe just happens to be famous so everyone knows. GET OVER IT!

Tue Nov 08, 2005 2:24 pm

Nothing would ever happen like this....the only way it would happen was if kobe got injured and had 2-3 years to fully recover...so nope..no trade

Tue Nov 08, 2005 2:52 pm

If they did trade him they would have to get someone awesome (yes, such as Ron Mercer) in return

Tue Nov 08, 2005 3:10 pm

FITZY, cut out this ron mercer spamming. This is a warning. IF you continue to persist, a possible suspension will be on tap

Tue Nov 08, 2005 3:13 pm

What? Are you serious, i answered the question by saying that they would need someone good in return

Tue Nov 08, 2005 3:13 pm

Yeah but you do use the Ron Mercer joke in almost all of your posts.

Tue Nov 08, 2005 3:16 pm

Right ill lose the whole Ron Mercer thing if you want

Tue Nov 08, 2005 3:16 pm

Ye man iz getting fucking annoying :D

Tue Nov 08, 2005 3:18 pm

Haha okay

Tue Nov 08, 2005 3:30 pm

kobe for the raptors might work. Not sure if that's enough though

Tue Nov 08, 2005 5:02 pm

Gotta agree this is a stupid thread. They'd never trade him, barring injury orhim becoming sucky.

Tue Nov 08, 2005 5:07 pm

let's trade Kobe for Garnet! Where's ntong???

Tue Nov 08, 2005 5:44 pm

According to his Denver police statement, Kobe is a huge fan of "the facial," and I'm not talking about basketball...(check The Smoking Gun site)

But anyway...neither Kobe nor Odom are spot-up shooters and both need the ball to do their thing. Unless they're going to run the triangle, which Odom probably hasn't learned yet, they won't mesh well. Kobe needs someone who plays defense first, doesn't need the ball on offense, and is a good standstill shooter.

The person comes closest to filling those criteria would be Shawn Marion. Not the best shooter, but decent enough...and he gets his points off putbacks and athleticism. He can also guard the other team's best player. They'd complement each other well as a 2/3 combo.

Tue Nov 08, 2005 5:49 pm

KG is probably as available as he'll ever be...

If a trade was to happen...Kobe for KG would at least be close to fair for both teams.

Though the T-Wolves would get the short end of the stick.
