meh, you're debating in vain, as you'll never come to an agreement. Let's compare something else:

who do you think is better: Queen Elizabeth II or a T-Rex?

His assist numbers prove he's not a black hole; a complete ballhog wouldn't average six assists per game. It's more a matter of dominating the ball at the wrong times than being a completely selfish player.

just because tmac had a superior team compared to kobe and marbury and he made it to the postseason, he is a level up ahead of them, put kobe on that rockets team and ill bet you he would have got them to the 2nd round...

Ei he didnt said that tmac is ahead of kobe. C'mon tmac even admitted that kobe is on a different level. This topic isn't about kobe. As for tmac dominating the ball, thats his duty. 100% of the offense of rockets runs through mcgrady so hes that important to the offense. Theres nobody in the rockets that can create and set-up other than him.

the difference between t-mac and wade is: focus on winning.

t-mac wants to get big stats and give people a show basketball.
wade just want to win, he is happy as long as he can contribute to team success.
of course t-mac wants to win also, but his stats come first, it's not like kobe that the main reason he plays ball is to get a reg. season mvp and score 35 ppg, but he is not focused on winning but on putting up big numbers every night.

so that's it... t-mac can be more complete in terms of the positions he can play, he also can put up big numbers in every stat category, but in terms of leadership (yep, he is so young and yet has great leadership skills) and teamwork and winning focus wade is by far superior.

Dwyane Wade and leadership? When did he show any leadership skills? Shaq is the man for that team, not Wade.

I dont think that T-mac cares about stats as much as he does winning. I'll put Tmac being more hungry than Wade when it comes to the strive to win.
Wade is not YET a leader, Shaq still is.

It would have been a double standard if I'd mentioned Kobe, but he wasn't even in the discussion. Since you brought it up, it's the same for both players really. Both Kobe and T-Mac do pass the ball, they do set up their teammates so neither are complete ballhogs. But both seem to have a tendency to dominate the ball at the wrong times; sometimes it can pay off, sometimes it doesn't.

Again, it would be a double standard if I had one standard for Kobe and another for T-Mac. But I didn't even mention Kobe, since we were talking about T-Mac and Wade.

Funny to see you have no clue of what goes on in the NBA games... Kobe is a total ballhog and so is Starbury... They both only give up the ball when they are absolutely certain that they can't get a shot off... It doesn't matter how many assists you get... For example from an extreme, by your definition if a guy would average 10 assists a game he could not be a ball hog, right? Well, what if the same guy took 50 shots per game and only dished the ball to his team mates exactly 10 times? Don't tell me that this doesn't make the guy a ball hog???

Kobe gets 6 assists, but he also passes the ball about 10 times in the game, so it's not like he does a lot of passing... A good point guard can pass the ball like 3-4 times in an attack and still not record an assist off the play... A good passing player moves the ball quickly from player to player to get the defense rattled and shaken so it can be broken down more easily.

I love passing those "it seems catchable" passes... They are just perfect! You know when the defender falls for it and lunges forward to intercept and doesn't. It frees up the attacking guy quite effectively. I love the look of disbelief on the face of my opponents... I just love it. It sometimes seems to come like Matrix style slow-motion when I get really pumped up. It's weird... I don't know if you guys have ever experienced this, but I have on a few occations and I can do marvellous things during that time.

Those passes make my day, i can't do anything exceptionally well except for running, jumping and passing. Oh and piss off my opponents verbally...

Anyways on-topic

T-Mac = Established star
D-Wade = Star in the making
