I never saw Sabonis play before his time in the NBA, but I'd have to say Kukoc. He's an NBA champion, can hit the three better and is much, much...MUCH faster than Sabas ever was. Sabonis had great court vision, though. But overall (imho), Toni was just better.

David Robinson or Tim Duncan?

Ralph Sampson vs Yao Ming...Sampson never really lived up to his potential and didn't stay in the league all that long. Sampson was probably better in his prime, but knowing how his career turned out and considering Yao's potential I'd probably pick Yao.

I'm going to pick Clyde Drexler too. Through most of his career in the 90s (and I'd say the late 80s as well) he was arguably the second best shooting guard in the league. He came to the Rockets midway through the 1995 season and blended in perfectly, formed a great tandem with Hakeem and won a well deserved ring that same season. He also led his Blazers to the Finals twice in the 90s. T-Mac is a great player and all, but I'm going with the Glide on this one.

Better "third player": James Worthy or Robert Parish?

Run TMC... hell yeah baby... I would pick those three as opposed to JJ, Mash and Jason! The latter were good together but Run TMC is famous together!

better duo: Kareem and Magic OR Karl and Stock

Malone and Stockton. I think they might be the best twopack in the history of the NBA. Kareem and Magic were the better individuals, but as a duo, Stockalone can't be denied. The two are THE distinct trademark of the late 20th century Jazz. Hell, they even shared All Star game MVP honors...

Lakers (I'm a Magic fan .)

Bulls of '91 (1st from the 1st 3peet) or Bulls of '96 (1st from the 2nd 3peet)?

Reasons, fellas. Cusby, don't post for the sake of posting -- especially since Hakeem was clearly the better of the three.

The Bulls of 1996, were a better assimilated team. They played well together, got along well, and their season's drama wasn't documented into literature. If you were taking '92(vs. Portland) or '96, though, I would have chosen 1992.

I feel that Robinson is underrated. Dream and Admiral were both better than Ewing.. when it comes down to Rob and Hakeem, I woudl personally take Robinson over Hakeem... although tapes may show that Hakeem was actually better...

Tapes (and stats and the hardware) actually do prove that Hakeem was better.

It's not a quiz, but an opinion game. Let him have his own, man... I loved Hakeem's dreamshake too, but there may be people who think different about that. Maybe Cusby was seduced by Robinson's muscle - who knows?

I think Bulls of '96 is much better cuz at one time they won 72-10. The team was a perfect team, not all All-Star players playing together. But a mix of very good and average type of players playing together which then makes the average type of players playing at very good level..Ie, Luc Longley may not be useful else where, but he fits perfect in the Bulls. The other C.. Williams..(or Bison Dele?) became a very good defender after joining the bulls. No more Horace Grant, but there was Rodman. No more John Paxson, but there was Steve Kerr. Ron Harper was a better guard than BJ Armstrong. In fact, the '96 Bulls had a better lineup than '91 Bulls.

These 2 played different position but I felt Hardaway could be better before injury cuz at least Hardaway reached the final but not Hill.
Hardaway is a better offensive player as he could shoot 3's better than Hill, but Hill was a better defensive player imo.
However, Hill's jam on Mourning really impressed me.

This is ian interesting question! After Mr Jordan returned, he was whole different player but still the same. His killer attittude never changed and he still competed but two things seperated the first fro mthe second. Before, he played with more athleticism and used his natural ability to dominate. In the comeback, he was wiser and used more of a smart approach to play the game. He killed people with his ability to leap over them in his first go but in his second, he killed people with his jumpshots... post moves... ability to make his teammates better, etc. IO mean some of it was existent before but he was more advanced and finetuned! His array of weaponary was unstoppable for most of his opponents.

I would go for the first MJ if I talk video highlights, the better palyer IMO was definitely the second MJ. He showed how to play the game!

Let's see what others say... and the next Him or Him is:

Horace Grant or Dennis Rodman

Rodman all the way. Grant was a good player who had his time in the NBA. But compared to Rodman, he's just no match. Grant did score better than Rodman, but when a 6'8 guy gets seven consecutive rebounding titles and grabs over 18 boards in one season, there can be no doubt about who's better. He even defended large centers who outgrew him by 4+ inches. And he did a great job. I think the NBA should recognize his efforts and give him the respect he deserves. He's a total nut, but on the court he's one of the best defenders of all time.

Rick Barry or Pete Maravich?

Maravich. He started flashy passes and all that entertaining fast break stuff. All I can remember Rick Barry by was his amazing free throw shooting.

Ah, c'mon. You can't compare a player who has been around for two years to an NBA legend. I don't think we've seen it all from DW. He's getting even better.

hmm good one here. i would go with rice myself as he just had such a sweet shot in his prime. people seem to easily forget just how good of a shooter he was back when he was younger, before the knee and back problems.

sorry if it was already added(didnt read entire thread) but

Bird or Magic.
