i still think boston in 6 or 5..
and boston matches up with detriot very well.. but the roster on the pistons are underrated... well i think their top 6 guys are underrated.. especially billups, hamilton, prince

prince (1 of the best defenders in the league) avged ~19 points last part of the season..
billups 40% 3 point shooter, clutch, finals MVP over shaq, kobe,
hamilton 1 of the best midrange games in the nba

thats like 3 all-stars .. + the wallaces which are considered all-stars too

getting off topic but.. ya i c celtics in 6 and lose to pistons

right...they're all-stars that didn't make teh All-star Game right? lol
1. Kobe or Shaq couldn't have won teh MVP because they lost if I'm not mistaken, though I probably am
2. Rip Hamilton is NOT overrated
3. Chauncey's been overhyped since last years Finals

There's nothing that prohibits members of the losing team from being named Finals MVP (or for that matter All-Star MVP as Magic was in 1990). In fact, the very first Finals MVP - Jerry West - was on the runner-up squad.

For the moment, Billups is one of only two Finals MVPs (the other being Cedric "Cornbread" Maxwell" of the Celtics in 1981) to win the award having never made the All-Star team. Joe Dumars hadn't been to the All-Star game when he was named Finals MVP in 1989, but would make a few appearances in the following years.

I think its moronic to think that Indiana might not win another game. We will take 1 if not both of the games on our home floor KNOCK ON WOOD

the celtics are hands down the better team. rick is hands down the better coach. coming from boston i can tell you that coaching means everything(see the patriots for proof). if doc does not screw things up the celtics take this in 6 at worst. of course thats a big if imo.

pacers up 20, fair to say its over.
so pacers up 2-1 in the series.
looks like it may just be a pacers vs pistons 2nd round match up..

99-76 is the final score, Pacers go up 2-1 with a little payback for Game 1. Reggie has another game that proves he's done because he's had enough, not because age has gotten the better of him.

Wow, Antione Walker and Jermaine O'neal, and what was Walker trying to do the second time, attack the ref that gave him a T?

I knew Pacers would win this, IMO with JO they're a much better team, and they can give a very good second round matchup to the Pistons. That will definately be an interesting one.

Probably true, but the absence of Artest & Tinsley is good news for Prince & Billups. With JO nursing an injury, the Pistons probably gonna bang him up even more.

I doubt Pacers will have enough over 7 games, Carlisle is way too predictable, great reg season coach but doesn't mix it up for the playoffs.

They lost also because of Walker's ejection. They'll be back. We've already seen a lot of surprises this season.

Answer to SO: Bird.

As a somewhat Boston fan, I still like the series. Indiana has a good winning culture. They could (and should) win this series. But still, I must cheer for Boston.

In 2003 they beat the Pacers in the first round, I think were eliminated in the 2nd round, not sure.

hahaha you are an idiot.

The pacers were up 23 when walker got ejected, you think hes why they lost?

This was a great game to be at. We crushed the little fuckers and sent them out of the gym crying. This series may not even go 6 games. I could see us winning out.

And walker had damn well better be suspended for game 4. that was dirty, he punched JO in the injured shoulder 3 times.

actually they went on to beat Detroit 4-1, but then lost out to NJN in the East Finals.

Thanks

But seriously, this was a really emotional game. I was getting really really pissed at the celtics (as was everyone else) because they were being incredibly dirty. Plus all the shit talk the celtics have done its really really nice to fucking kill those bitches.
