Lebron wants $1 million to be in dunk comp

James denied a report in Sunday's New York Daily News that he asked for $1 million to compete in the slam dunk contest.
"I haven't asked for that," he said. "I have enough millions right now. If I feel comfortable about doing it, I'll do it."
James said the deciding factor will be his ankle.
"The same thing happened last year," he said. "I hurt my ankle before All-Star weekend. It was a no-brainer that I wasn't going to do it. It's all up to how I'm feeling."

I know this is not really official because its from a NY paper, but the thing that worries me is that BSPN isnt reporting anything that this is a false claim. If it really was the case that he didnt ask for the money, then there would be like 5 articles about it on ESPN to protect LeBron. I havent heard anything from them

how was lebron unable to participate in the dunk contest last year (because of his ankle) but then pull off sick dunks in the rookie game instead (eg. through the legs). This doesn't make sense to me. I think its just an excuse cause he doesnt want to enter it.

If he uses the same excuse this year that his ankle is sore or something but then puts on a big rookie and all star game performance im gonna be pissed.
