tool=long socks?

man u must have been lost. as long as you dont bother the flow of the game like arm pads flying during colisions and braces and stuff on the floor. it has got nothing to do with your game. i still played well and won 3 out of 5 championship with our team during my college days(engineering takes 5 years here in our country) and i got 3 guys who played with long socks alongside with me. i was playing coach on my last 2 years.

about sweat i use a towel during time outs and free throw breaks. deadplays etc. no need for funny pads for me. actually its everyones preference as long as he played good. and i know i played good.

guy with the mud=== i dont feel like guarding him or even being close to him during a game.

wonder what the other guys feel playing besides magic during his HIV days. scary

long socks were the team trademark of my traveling team the won 3 national championships in a row in Iowa, Philly and New York.

Matt i seriously doubt you would go around calling people a tool to there face, the result wouldnt be something you would enjoy. maybe cause we can express ourselves here in anyway we want is probably why you say long socks and wearing other accesories are only for tools and now you trying to dis clothes too

actually, i do call people tools for wearing long socks (same applies with 3 quarter length pants) to there face. It's my opinion and i say it and if someone doesn't like it they can choke on a fat one. In fact, no one has done anything about it, in fact, you'd be a bigger tool if you tried to physically threaten someone because they called you a tool...talk about insecurities.

hey but atleast i dont go around calling people tools for idiotic reasons that 99.9% of people dont care about.

looking like TOOL+playing like TOOL= certified TOOL

looking like TOOL+playing like MJ=not a TOOL

looking like TOOL+winning games=prove your critics wrong

:?

That was not even the least bit funny...

Sun Feb 20, 2005 9:57 am

I used to wear the old school short shorts when I played. Showed off my thighs.

I wore a headband playing goalie in hockey for 10 years. They're great for keeping sweat out of your eyes.

Sun Feb 20, 2005 10:07 am

i wear a band on my bicep of my left arm, i just always have, not sure why.

Sun Feb 20, 2005 3:30 pm

Than you have a valid reason to wear high socks IMO, but I doubt you were serious. About the LiveStrong bands, it's not needed to wear them when you've lost people to cancer, but to me it's just something like: "we didn't forget you".
Also these days I refuse to take my LiveStrong band of just because all (ignorant) people wear them...

i find this funny. if any1 here is being ignorant its u. how can u say that any1 wit a livestrong band is ignorant? they did buy it for 1 buck, and that dollar DID go to help cure cancer... and uve had a history of family members involved wit cancer... so how is that ignorant? would it be less ignorant to not buy it at all... is it less ignorant to not giv money and aid to the tsunami victims? no its not.

sometimes u hav to accept the fact that ppl do the right things for the wrong reasons... but that doesnt make them ignorant. if a guy buys a livestrong band cause they think its cool, it doesnt make them ignorant. they still understand where the money goes to

instead of hating cause ppl rnt up to grade wit u... giv them the benefit of the doubt for at least helping a good cause

Sun Feb 20, 2005 3:39 pm

i have a livestrong band, but sometimes i feel a little bit guilty, because while you are supporting cancer research at the same time you are supporting sweatshops because it is a nike product.

i have no huge problem with nike i have nike shoes and everything is a sweatshop these days, but when you wear that as a semi-political statement it seems a little bit hypocritical.

Mon Feb 21, 2005 6:48 am

if u look at it in that perspective yes... but that means that everything we buy is supporting a sweatshop.. or some other bad thing

buying meat from the grocery store. innocent animals butchered for us.

buying paper. millions of trees r cut down to make paper for us.

plus everything else look in ur room u hav clothes, a computer, a bed. everything is manmade...

Mon Feb 21, 2005 8:49 am

i know that, i guess i didnt put it in the right words...

i know it is impossible to not buy anything from sweatshops, i know that. but when you are claiming to be wearing something for a good cause, yet supporting a terrible cause at the same time it seems hypocritical.
