IF KOBE GETS US INTO THE PLAYOFFS THIS SEASON... WILL HE BE ABLE TO BE RECOGNISED IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS THE ALMIGHTY MICHAEL JORDAN?

OR DOES HE NEED TO WIN A RING BY HIMSELF FIRST???

Jordan took his team to the playoffs on his own for about 6 years (before Pip became an all-star). Kobe needs to keep doing it. Although the current Laker team is A LOT more talented than the 80s Bulls. The main things missing from Kobe's resume is multiple MVPs and Finals MVPs. Defensive Player of thge Year would also help. Plus he needs to lead the league in some stats. Jordan did it in points and steals for many years.

Yeah... well we havent seen Kobe the one-man team. After these next two/three seasons... we'll have an answer of whether Kobe can be compared and said of on the same level as MJ.

It is truie, he's been lucky he's played with Shaq. Now it's time for him to prove to everyone that he is the man.

no offense to kobe or anyone here who loves him but he is no way near the level jordan was at. i dont think he can reach that level myself but we will have to wait and see. if he is even remotly as good as jordan he will at the very least nab a playoff spot this season(injuries being an exception). infact i think he needs to bag the 6th spot atleast with the roster he got backing him up.

Hehe, Sauru. Don't even try to start. I read his signature a while back, I just chuckled.

You should know better by now than to try and debate anything Kobe with Kobe fans. It's useless, time consuming & a sure recipe for head-ache. Especially not on this topic.

We will go back & fourth endlessly & come to the conclusion that Kobe won't be anywhere near MJ for a long long time. As has been mentioned before, Kobe first has to establish that he can produce good stats on a consistant basis. Getting them to the playoffs won't make him worthy enough to compare him to MJ. One season won't make him worthy. Around 6 consecutive awesome seasons might.

Anyways, all in all...we'll go back & fourth, some people will drop in with a one liner saying it's impossible to compare the two & we're nuts.
We will provide statistics & they will keep coming up with what if, or it could happen theories.

When it's all over & done with & we've proven Kobe just isn't at MJ level, the same exact Kobe fans will ask US to stop comparing Kobe & MJ. They will tell us MJ is MJ and Kobe is Kobe. Kobe doesn't want to be compared to MJ. He has his own game. The whole thing is turned and put on us. We supposedly start comparing the two.

Anyways, avoid head-aches whenever possible. Advil sucks.

yeah i didnt mean to sound like " if he makes the 6th spot he is as good as jordan". i was saying that this entire point is worthless atleast until he does that. personally until he brings home a finals mvp he cant be mentioned in the same breathe as jordan without it being an insult.

well... if he doesnt retire at MJ's 'elite' level. I won't stop supporting him cause I will support him all the way. That's the way of a fan! If I were to say stop comparing MJ and KB8... i'm a bandwagoner and something I'm not!
