Fact or Fiction: Dwight Howard will be a bust.
I was talking about production, teamwork and chemistry.
Fiction. Howard will not be a bust. I think he's got a pretty good work ethic, and that usually spells success.
Fact or Fiction:
Jermaine O'Neal is Shaq's only threat in the East

Fact.
West has improved more. East has Orlando, Washington, Detroit, Miami, Boston and Indiana making improvements. West has San Antonio, Denver, Utah, Phoenix, Memphis, Houston....hmm, not sure who else. But the additions in the West have been more significant (Denver and Utah)
Fact or Fiction: Despite losing Carlos Boozer, Cleveland will improve on it's record from last season

fiction: he needs to bulk up some more...
fact or fiction:the heat will be better than the lakers next season
Thu Aug 12, 2004 1:47 am
I'm going out on a huge limb and saying fiction, Shaq
WILL get hurt, and when he does don't be surprised to see the Heat lose every game while he's out. I think the Heat gave up way too much for a 2 to 3-year rental.
Chris Bosh will be a star in this league. Fact or Fiction (BTW, this is a great thread!

Hehe, you should know better than to bet against him Dipset...
Remember a certain bet?
Oh, fact, he should bulk up a bit though.
I don't have a question, the next poster can come up with one.

Fact. All the skill sets needed, very good season last year.
Fact of Fiction: The 76ers will make the playoffs.
Thu Aug 12, 2004 3:31 am
Fact. They only lack at PG, but they reach the second round.
Fact or Fiction, Boozer and Okur are overpayed and will be busts at Utah.
Thu Aug 12, 2004 3:35 am
faction (half fact, half fiction): boozer will be better this year, he has the work ethic to get better and he will. okur on the otherhand, will be a bust - i don't think he'll fit in.
fact or fiction: by next season, gary payton will be rejuvenated and average 18 and 8 like the GP of old
Thu Aug 12, 2004 3:38 am
Fact:
I still believe in the Glove and wherever he plays next year, whether it be Boston or a contender in the West, he'll be back to being the old Payton.
Eddy Curry will bounce back and average 17 PPG and 10 RPG. Fact or Fiction?

DipSetVC wrote:Eddy Curry will bounce back and average 17 PPG and 10 RPG. Fact or Fiction?
Fiction. I wish. Always overweight or underachieving. He might get the 17 ppg, but no way is he getting the 10 rpg. TJ Ford is a better rebounder than he is.
Fact or Fiction: The Bucks will miss the playoffs.
Thu Aug 12, 2004 3:58 am
Fiction.
Michael Redd will come through this season. Along with T.J. Ford and Desmond Mason. With the adition of Mike James it helps them in the backcourt, but in the East right now you really need a frontcourt. Look for the Bucks to finish about 7-8 in the playoffs this year.
Fact Or Fiction. The team in the West to beat is San Antonio

Fiction. I think they are a team on the rise. Terry Porter has proven to me that he knows how to coach to the strengths of a team and their chemistry is excellent...........
Fact or Fiction: Kobe Bryant will dunk on Shaquille O'Neal in one of their two meetings next year.

Fact. BB is a big upgrade over Hedo and I see big things in Udrih.
Fact or Fiction: Kobe Bryant will dunk on Shaquille O'Neal in one of their two meetings next year.
Fiction. Call it a hunch.
Fact or Fiction: The Suns will make the playoffs.

Fiction. While it looks good on paper to acquire one of the best pg's in the league as well as a talented swing man in Q, they have
not addressed their most glaring weaknesses. Defense and rebounding........
Fact or Fiction: Mehmet Okur will average a double double for Utah........
Thu Aug 12, 2004 4:17 am
Fiction. He'll get at least 10 points. But not 10 boards. I think coming of the bench behind Carlos Boozer trying to grab ten will be pretty tough.
Fact or Fiction. Timberwolves will win the title.
Thu Aug 12, 2004 4:26 am
Fiction- San Antonio will knock them out of the playoffs.
Fact or fiction: Miami will make it to the finals?
Thu Aug 12, 2004 4:39 am
fiction: detroit got better this year, expect them to make the finals once again
fact or fiction: kevin garnett will once again have a 20-13-5 season

Fiction This is not their year. I just can't see them toppling Detroit or Indiana right now..........
Fact or Fiction The NBA should offer significant amounts of money to get the stars to compete in the dunk contest.
Thu Aug 12, 2004 4:46 am
Fiction. I think the Dunk Contest is like a volunteered thing. If you want to show off you can dunk, you should volunteer. It's like the olympics.
Fact or Fiction. Dwayne Wade should have won ROY award.

jumpman23 wrote:Fact or Fiction. Dwayne Wade should have won ROY award.
Fiction. Any other year and he would have easily but LeBron and Carmelo stole the show this year. Dwyane lost via LeBron.
Fact or Fiction: Vince Carter will be traded.
