Durant is on route to become a 3rd best small forward? Did anyone catch commentator saying it? What is your thoughts on this?

The Warriors are now 13-0 for the postseason. Incredible, especially for a team that possess no one from 1st All NBA team.

Twenty turnovers, bad transition defense, very little offense from Tristan Thompson & the bench plus Durant being Durant = a complete ass-whipping.

Cavs played right into the Warriors hands. Quick missed threes lead to fast breaks/dunks.

They did win 67 games and have players who have made several All-NBA First Teams in the past, though. Competition was a bit stiff there, with some of the individual performances this season.

I caught that comment about Durant. I'd have to agree he's climbing the ranks at the small forward position.

I recall seeing a LeBron/KD comparison at the same time in their careers, and the numbers were very similar. Was several years ago though.

I'm torn. I don't like either team but hate Durant. I don't really like anyone outside of LeBron on the cavs and Gilbert is a POS. How bout the warriors blowing a 3-0 lead leading to an exciting game 7?

I had to ask myself, which players did I like more before the past few years? Oddly enough, that has me favouring the Warriors in a clash of teams I don't particularly like.

Yeah, my dislike for Lebron and Gilbert outweighs my disdain for Durant and Green.

Q look at it this way: Warriors are being advised by West, Luke Walton came over from there (as a coach) and Klay is Mychal Thompson's son.

I was rooting for the warriors to beat them last year because they are the California team but I dunno Durant joining the team with the best record of all time plus zaza taking out kawhi rubbed me the wrong way. And Green annoys me and he likes to kick people

At this point I'm kind of over it so I can be swayed. I guess I'm just looking for close exciting games for entertainment

I imagine that discussion will take place. Of course, few teams have been as stacked, or been as fortuitous with opposing teams not being at full strength. That's not to take everything away from the Warriors, but it's a factor that has to be considered in that debate when it takes place.

no matter what when this season ends people will either talk about the warriors being the best team ever or lebron being the best player ever. both answers are "no" but the media will push either and possibly both stories like crazy

Saw more than a couple of comments on Twitter saying LeBron needs more help. A couple of thoughts come to mind in that regard. One, this is probably the most stacked team LeBron's been a member of. Two, considering all the talk about how "LeBron makes his teammates better, that's why he's better than MJ", shouldn't he be...you know...making them better? There's also the "MJ never faced a team like this" crowd, so pick your excuse/narrative, I suppose.

Contentious historical debates aside, the Warriors played another fine second half. When they're turning the ball over like they did in the first half and they're in a cold stretch shooting from downtown, they kind of leave you wondering how they win so many games. Then they get their heads on straight, start taking care of the ball and knocking down shots again, and they're an absolute juggernaut; no mystery at that point. Durant, Curry, and Thompson all hit from the hash mark and beyond in that one. Some excellent defense, too. At this point I'd have to agree that their D is underrated, but scoring does dominate the boxscores and highlights, after all.

This is beginning to smell like a sweep.

It's definitely not unthinkable. It's been pointed out that this how last year's Finals began as well, but as the image macros are so aptly pointing out, these aren't the same Warriors, either.

The fact that LBJ played pretty good and still got blown out is discouraging imo for the Cavs. Also how was the game not even close when your team scored 113 pts. How do you stop their firepower and how do you score against them? In game 1, offense wasn't there but in game 2, offense was there but still badly outscored.

And I thought the refs were giving a few calls in Cavs favor as the Warriors were getting away furiously. That effort meant nothing though they probably meant 3 or 4 possessions which could have been up to 10 points swing in Cavs favor.

I think the Warriors are just match up nightmare this time around. Durant does make a difference.

A player like Curry can make 7 out of 17 shots and get 32 points, K-Love is a statue on defense, Kyrie is pathetic, Cavs players were trash on both ends of the court and Durant is a snake who likes to punch his chest likes he was "something" when he needs 3 other all-stars to back him up and distract the defense. LeBron was keeping the Cavs in the game alone, but he got gassed out. I don't get the hate for him in this forum, hell no is he better than MJ, but the guy has established some real arguments why he is probably Top-5 All-Time.

I don't care what the outcome of this series is, Warrior's ring will mean nothing. Remember how LeBron needed to win a ring with Cleveland to get recognition? Durant's ring will have the same value in his career as an All-Star appearence.

I am done with this series. Not staying awake until 3am to watch any other game.

This series is OVA. The Warriors are loaded - with Durant, they are too much for any team to deal with defensively. Love, Irving, Frye, Korver & Deron Williams don't scare you on defense. Shumpert's game has not progressed since his Knick days - dude still can't shoot.Scary thing is, Golden State would have scored more without the turnovers. Now that Klay found his stroke, forget it.

It's not inconceivable that the Warriors get sloppy with the basketball or go through some cold stretches, but...yeah. Too many weapons.

Like LeBron said, this is a different Warriors team. Without Durant, I would have given Cleveland a shot. Not now.
