Haha, owndizzled the Knicks. I never thought I'd see a team with more sloppier defence and offfensive than us though..... Anyone see that Charlie V dunk on the Knicks? Holy smokes if that doesn't make the NBA TV top 10 then I don't know what will. A shame he got T'ed up for taunting.
Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:44 pm
Yeah, I saw Charlie V dunk on Lee, and then he like starred at teh crowed or something. Sick dunk btw.
Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:51 pm

Basically, we led throughout the entire game like we did the last time we played against them. Quentin Richardson was nailing 3 balls on one leg to keep the Knicks close, but he had to sit out because of ankle problems or something.
Mo Pete and Bosh had a really good first half, Mike James played like an actual point guard and Pape Sow had a nice dunk or two. Charlie also injured his ankle but he came back and played very well.

The 3 starting bigmen layed awsom. Sow, Charlie, and Bosh.

Antonio Davis formally reported to the team Saturday, meeting with both GM Wayne Embry and coach Sam Mitchell, and the Raptors expect he will play for them.
TORONTO (CP) -- It seems like Antonio Davis is set to join the Toronto Raptors for a second time.
The big forward, acquired Friday in a deal that sent Jalen Rose, a first-round draft pick and cash to the New York Knicks, took a physical Saturday morning and then headed to his New York home to handle some personal matters.
He also planned to visit Chicago to talk things over with wife Kendra.
The Raptors expect him back Monday or Tuesday.
"He's a professional and he's going to honour his contract," said Raptors coach Sam Mitchell. "He's the president of the players' association, he's going to do the right thing. He understands the business of basketball.
"We're happy to have him."
The speculation was that Davis would not report to the Raptors.
His last stint with the team ended when he demanded a trade out of town, in part over concerns about the education his kids would get in Canadian schools.
The Raptors ended up sending him to Chicago in 2003 in a deal that brought Rose to Toronto.
Happy to have him back.

now the question is, should we make the playoffs (the bottom half of the east is mediocre, a .500 record or something like 40-42 can get us #8) and then get our ass kicked by the pistons, and have a pick in the late teens in a weak draft, or string together some wins to give bosh some hope and get a lottery pick, or just tank it so we have a bigger chance for a high ranked pick?
Sun Feb 05, 2006 9:47 am
i say we try as hard as we can to make the playoffs. This proves to the team, media, the organization that this team is no shit team. This give more hope than drafting some new rookie. If we can make the play offs this season, the there's a high chance of making it again next year, probably better. The organization will try their best to re-sign Mike James, and possibly another decent player with the cap.

FUCK ya, i have tickets to the clippers game, even though its level 300 in the upperbowl at midcourt

. ill probably just sneak into the lowerbowl seats after the third quarter starts

. Hope they finally win one when im there, i've been to four raptors games including this one, they've lost on all occasions

, hope they do well against LA.

If Clippers beat Raptors, it's a franchise record
L.A. would be 11 games over .500 for first time in team's history
The Los Angeles Clippers can move 11 games over .500 for the first time in team history when they face the Toronto Raptors at Air Canada Centre.
The Clippers are 2-1 on their six-game road trip against Eastern Conference teams and 7-1 in their last eight games overall.
At 27-17, Los Angeles is 10 games over .500 for the first time since it was 44-34 on April 11, 1992. The franchise hasn’t been 11 games over the break-even mark since the Buffalo Braves were 30-19 on Jan. 28, 1976.....

let's not let the Clippers make history on the Raptors
Mon Feb 06, 2006 1:44 am
I hate it when a team o a player makes history against the Raptors.
Mon Feb 06, 2006 7:46 am
They just did. We played a close game, but the fucking Raptors can't play defence worth shit. Mike James and Chris Bosh had poor communication on the screen and roll, and Sam Cassel got a wide open look.
Mon Feb 06, 2006 8:04 am
Mike got caught in the screen when cassel aka ET (jks) drop the 3

Just came back from the game...the attendence was like 15,800 or something, not impressive but alright nonetheless in times like these. If anyone saw the game on TV, there was this one play where chris bosh drove past singleton omr Chris kaman on the baseline and nearly got a HUGE and1 dunk on the clippers, the WHOLE place went "OHHHHHHH!!" On an earlier play, think it was singleton again, he went in for a dunk, bosh stuffs him and then goes back the other way for an and1 layup. Tough luck for Bosh on the last shot, he was open and it bounced on the back rim

. Tough loss, hope we can rebound from this. If anyone noticed, before this game, we played one less than Boston and were 17-30, and if we won, we would have been tied for third in our division, both with a 18-30 record.

We still hold the blocks in one game record, and i think most threes by a team in one game. (i think that seattle vs. phoenix game only broke the most threes by BOTH teams record)

Here we GO, overtime with the spurs!!
On a side note, why didnt we call a time out with like 3 seconds left after that block by villanueva on bowen? coulda gave us a shot to win that in regulation.
EDIT: WTF, BOSH ONLY TOUCHED THE BALL LIKE ONLY ONCE THE WHOLE FUCKING OVERTIME, MIKE JAMES HOGGED THE BALL FOR SO FUCKING LONG... damn man, i like the guy but damn, you are the SECOND option, BOSH is the FIRST, PASS THE FUCKING BALL WHEN YOU HAVE GONE COLD AND/OR THERE IS AN OPEN TEAMMATE. DAMNIT WE LOST IN OVERTIME.

Well, you can't say the Raptors totally suck, but they just can't put it together at the end of games, that's what's killing them.
Thu Feb 09, 2006 12:49 pm
Why the hell DIDNT Bosh get any touches? And what is James thinking taking so many threes?
Man, its frustratign watchign your team get killed or watch them be cold in OT. ANd yeah, they should've called a Timeout when Charlie V blocked Bowen, I mean, when they didn't call a T.O. I was like, "WTF!?!?!? Call a timeout!!!!!"
