Stackhouse has been suspended? That's just messed up. I mean, it was what anyone would do. Knowing Shaq, the best thing to do is to foul him and see him miss the free throws (which didn't happen anyway) than give him the shot. And since it was a fast break the foul/block attempt resulted in Stackhouse falling on Shaq. I don't believe anything was necessary, if anything a small fine. But to SUSPEND Stackhouse was total bull.

I'm glad he was suspended cause it's consistent with the "pussification" of the nba so far. The playoffs thus far has been ridden with stupid suspensions...so the league has to keep up with it or many fans will be displeased with the hypocracy. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

P.S Someone give me one good reason i shouldn't ban Gedas for that retarded quadtripple post and maybe i wont do it; just one.

I cant believe Stackhouse was suspended. he was going for the ball. Just because he couldnt jump that high to actually get ball, and shaq fell on the ground doesnt mean he was attacking shaq. Thats BS, i cant believe this shit. Why doesnt Stern just hand his buddy Wade, who he wants to see win it, the trophy.

There's been a lot of talk about the NBA going to ruins lately so they're trying to push these playoffs to a Game 7 and take it as far as possible...but this is total crap. He should've ripped out Shaq's testicles and he wouldn't have gotten a suspension....*Damn Reggie Evans*.

I'd have to disagree there, he didn't make much of a play for the ball and he seemed to connect with another elbow after the initial contact. All the same, a suspension does seem excessive but as Yohance said it's consistent with the other calls that have been made this year. To that end, the whole Stern and Wade "buddy" thing is going a bit far since you could say the same about Kobe, Kirk Hinrich and Manu Ginobili since they also benefited from an opponent being suspended yet none of them are playing right now. Seems to me if Stern wanted to play evil puppetmaster he'd go all out with it and help those guys and their teams get further than they did.

I dont believe he should have been suspended for that game. I have seen much worse and Stackhouse has been playing decent so now that this has come about it can potentially hurt Dallas. I get the feeling that the flagrant was upgraded solely because it was on Shaq and all the wiggling and woggling he did afterwards that seemd like he wanted to get into it. Oh well, I'm still going with dallas to win the next one regardless, they'll figure it out.

stackhouse did jump and kind of pull shaq down hard with his arms. but a suspension might be a bit too much. avery johnson dosnt need more stress. have u seen his face when dallas isnt playing well?? he has the biggest pouting face ive ever seen and his eyebrows kinda imitate The Rock.

Well, if Will Perdue says it then it must be so...but since you bring up ESPN analysts, on SportsCenter after the game Greg Anthony, Tim Legler and Scottie Pippen all opined that the foul warranted a suspension and the more they saw it, felt it should have been an ejection in the first place.

Everyone's going to look at what happened a different way but the decision to suspend Stackhouse - fair or not - is at least consistent with other rulings made this year in the Playoffs.

so Stackhouse got suspended, eh? tell you what, it's probably the best thing for the Mavs as Stackhouse has been shithouse....can't hit an open shot since game 2....he might have hit a couple in game 4 but the negatives still outweighed the positives in my eyes....

I don't think Stack should've been suspended as the foul was fine by me....it was hard & it was flagrant, but he did what he had to do....if Jason Williams hadn't of slowed it down deliberately so Shaq could get an easy dunk, then it wouldn't have happenned....I think in that situation, if Heat are gonna be smart arses & not take the easy 2 & slow it up so the Big Fella can get a dunk & get the crowd going, then he deserves to be hit hard....to me it's just a hard playoff foul....although, I didn't think it was a wise move as plays like that rile up Shaq & make him play harder....

game 5 on Monday I believe, so hopefully Mavs can finally get back on track....it will require some adjustments, but I think they can do it....go Mavs (Y)
