After this series , when the Warriors win in 6 , the MVP voters will demand a re-vote , and Nash will win MVP in a landslide for the 3rd straight time

Oh well, its just a game. I need to get a life...

Spurs won't win as Suns will take them out & meet Pistons in Finals....Pistons will likely win....if Bulls make it from East, then Suns will win....

I don't see the Suns winning more than 2 games in that series. Spurs won't let the Suns score, and Duncan will score like 30 in bank shots and Ginobili will get 30 in FT's.

But this is not the Spurms we are talking about, this is Golden State.

It is one thing, to win 67 games in the regular season, then lose to a 42-win 8 seed. Its another thing to lose to that 8 seed by 25 in the closeout game.

Dirk for LVP

Start of the 4th, Warriors up by 23 :o

Makes Nash look better so that is good....Nash could come back from 1-3 down, Dirk couldn't....but this series loss can't be pinned on Dirk like it will, it's the whole Mavs....Avery Johnson & all the players....Warriors just got hot at right time....this is a great day for bball....not quite the Nuggets over Sonics in 94, but still great....

Fri May 04, 2007 2:51 pm

What was up with that turnover at around 9:15? Barnes slipped and Davis threw the ball farther than he needed to with no pressure.
Well, it seems safe to say that Warriors win this series and this is the second(?) time since last year's finalists both get eliminated in the first round.

Fri May 04, 2007 2:52 pm

I'm sorry but..

When you're a number one seed going up against an 8 seed in an elimination game and you're down 25 with your leader being 1/11 with 4 points you deserve to lose.

This is ridiculous I don't even want to watch anymore...

Now would be an appropriate time to bring back the 80's Boston tradition of storming the court following victories...when the final buzzer sounds all the fans should run onto the court and celebrate with the team , they've deserved it after being a laughingstock for over a decade

Yeah that would be awesome if that happened, this team really deserved to win too. Really i hope that happens. Oh and is a MVP re-vote possible?

Fri May 04, 2007 3:00 pm

I'm not liking Golden State right now, I was really hoping for Dallas to make a come back from last season and win it all.

But they deserve this...I've never seen something like this in any sport I watch. To blow out such a strong team after barely making the playoffs is huge. I wish Golden State all the best in these playoffs and hope they can get far.

No shit, it is pretty obvious.

I guess I'll have to root for my backup, the Suns. You say it is a great day for basketball, but don't forget: The Warriors are a team that barely made the Playoffs, and Nellie admits can not win a championship. The winner of Jazz/Rockets will probably beat them.

I have to root for the Suns now. I highly doubt they will give SA a run for their money, but the Mavs did just lose to the Warriors.

btw, Do you think major offseason moves will be made for the Mavs?

Fri May 04, 2007 3:01 pm

I can't wait to see what Barkley has to say after this and what the fans have coming for Sir Charles.
Put Foyle in the game!!!!!!

lol..the warriors are owning the game 75-99

Fri May 04, 2007 3:02 pm

Wow J-Rich for MVP. Go Warriors!

Fri May 04, 2007 3:13 pm

108 - 83 with 1:11 and counting to go...GS wins 4-1 in the biggest upset in NBA history (Y)

Now how will GS do against Utah / Houston? Someone on another forum said Golden State could reach the NBA finals , which is a far reach. Perhaps if they get lucky they would beat the Rockets or Utah , but the Suns or Spurs?

Fri May 04, 2007 3:16 pm

Why don't you say Adonal Foyle for MVP? Stop with that shit man, it's getting annoying.

It's over now, damn (Y)

Fri May 04, 2007 3:17 pm

A nice 4-2 series victory for Warriors, which was the opposite result that I expected, I had Mavs winning 4-2....if the Warriors play with heart & passion like they have this series, they can definitely make it to Conference Finals, but I can't see them beating the Suns in the Conference Finals....

Fri May 04, 2007 3:17 pm

No court stormage :( But the win is just as good :P

Fri May 04, 2007 3:19 pm

Even if I'm a Raptors fan, I love the Warriors (I'm playing with them in my dynasty) and
I'm really surprised and excited at the same time....

GO WARRIORS!!!!

GO WARRIORS!!!!

GO WARRIORS!!!!

GO WARRIORS!!!! (Y) (Y) (Y)

I doubt that, maybe a few switches around in the bench, but probably nothing major (I think the commentators said something near the end about that?)

It's impossible for a true basketball fan to NOT embrace this particular Warriors team. Wow...the heart they play with is just unbelievable.

Fri May 04, 2007 3:29 pm

See the after-game celebrations? Those Warriors are really thankful for their fans the way they are celebrating.

Over the rest of the playoffs GSW aren't gonna face a team as soft as the Mavs so it'll be tougher.

Utah: given their offense, they matchup real well with Utah's non existant D. winnable series
Houston: control the tempo, or at least push the ball and you've got a good chance. winnable series

Suns: they play at the same tempo, this one is a tossup though. winnable series
Spurs: this is where it gets tricky, no one imposes their will better than the Spurs. winnable series but unlikely.
