Kobe is outta fucken line imo
he shoulda jus went to Shaq like a man wit his personal beef.all Shaq was talkin bout was the game and how he was shootin too much,Kobe took it the wrong way and went to the press on the defensive, that was real dumb.
now he has a serious beef with Shaq that he has to deal wit along with this rape fiasco.
if i was the lakers i would trade em before he leaves this summer as free agent.

It frustrating to hear this thing over and over again, Shaq wants the ball, Kobe is selfish, common get over with it. I am sick and tired of these guys creating another friction and possibly start another feud that will destroy team chemistry.

It is shame to both Malone and GP, here they come and sacrificing money and big statiscal numbers, while their two bigger superstar teammates talk nothing but selfish. But i'm sure the Zen Man will intervene as he always but maybe in a different way.

They were both out of line and made the wrong decisions. That's not all Shaq was talking about. It was an insult to Kobe, especially since it went out to the media. Why is it Kobe's responsibility to go to Shaq with his beef? If Shaq's the leader of the team and it's his then he shouldn't of started this shit from the beginning making dangerous comments about Kobe or at times where he would leave Kobe out of his quotes. And to say that wasn't on purpose would be bullshit! If Shaq wanted to recommend to Kobe to change his game for the time being, then he himself should've gone up to him and said so. What, is the media your fucken messanger boy? Of course he said it to the media on purpose so the whole world would hear. Way to make things worse.

shoudln't Shaq be the selfish one here????how's Kobe being selfish???

Ya, Shaq is right though, Kobe shouldn't shoot so much until his legs get back...but the reason Kobe lashed out on Shaq, and not GP is prolly cause all this shit is happening and Sahq is the one to say something to lash out at first...and plus! GP never said to stop shooting, only to flow back in...a little nicer words...But..I don't think shaq should have taken it to the media.

???Why not Shaq be a man and go to kobe :?:

Oh bout last year, last year it was Kobe's team, Shaq didn't seem all there on D or on offense, or even the rebounding. He was just there, and then how Kobe said Phil told him to take over, and he did and shaq got pissed...sounds selfish.
But this year, Shaq got that Marine trainging, so damn!! he might be back!!
how do i make a fancy signature?

I don't think it should be difficult for all of us to agree that Shaq as a player has the biggest impact on the success of the Lakers (though only slightly more than Kobe) but it was wrong of him to call it HIS team, as a team is only a team with every member of it working together.

Shaq alone cannot win games. The Lakers (or any team for that matter) win together. Granted, there are players who are more important to the outcome of a game than others, but that doesn't mean they could have won a game without the players who made less impact. In a ego-filled world like the NBA, the essence of BASKETBALL being a team sport seems to be more or less lost. What both these players need to reflect on is the fact that they're teammates and not just two men playing basketball. Your ego is honestly the least significant thing in winning a game of sports. And winning is everything, right?

Instead of bickering at each other in such a pointless manner, they have to focus on winning games (and possibly the championship) together as a team. THAT should be the focus of everyone who plays team sports. Kobe and Shaq are achieving nothing except destruction.

However, I do feel Kobe may have overreacted or reacted wrongly to Shaq's very first comment.

what i meant was that the press is gonna ask you questions, thats they're job and shaq made a comment about the game and Kobe shooting too much but Kobe on the other hand was taking personal shots and saying all this other mess about Shaq.
why does Shaq have to call Kobe after Kobe gets arrested on his rape charge?that is his personal problem, and remember before all this happened Kobe was supposed to be the good guy that didnt go outside to clubs and everything etc. and they made Shaq out to be as the bad guy.

I say that was real childish of Kobe taking those cheaps shots at Shaq.
he could have sucked it up after he heard what Shaq said and jus went to Shaq face to face instead of taking the bitch route and doin the same thing plus more. That jus leads to more problems and thats is what they have now more problems and drama.

Quote from Karl Malone after the Mavs-Lakers game:

"It's not what's on the back of the jerseys," Malone said. "It's what's on the front."

LOL @ Wangster's quote. Karl probably still thinks he's playing for the Jazz... what a rude shock it would have been to him when he stepped into the shower and realised that Johnny was nowhere to be seen, and a 400 pound animal of a man was winking at him!

I got this from a Lakers messageboard

Just announced on 1150 AM. From El Segundo, Shaq breaks his silence with the media and says:
"Kobe's a great player. He makes my job easier. I need him and he needs me. I took nothing he said personally."

A link would help, but if it's true, it'll pop up sooner or later...

Something's wrong though, Shaq being the bigger man in the feud has never happend. :)

I think they should stop bickering and realize that it's Gary's team.

Besides, who is the one that gives them the ball on offense? Kobe and Shaq can't score without GP.

Uh... they were able to score the last 6 or so years without gp, so yes, kobe and shaq can score without the glove... he just makes things easier for them :proud:
