USA Team starting 5

i don't think nash, fox and macculugoasgdlkhs are playing for canada-- i know fox and maccullogh aren't for sure and i'm pretty sure nash isn't because cuban freaked out last year because he was afraid his star player was gonna be injured..

lucky for me tho i saw nash play last year here in vancouver when we hosted an exhibition game against china.. yao mings hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I hear this too. Canada chances falling down without Nash, Fox and MacCulloch. I saw Nenê and Ginobili on a basketball clinic here in Brazil.
Nene will be better than Yao, i'm sure.

any team that plays as a team well could probabaly beat the states. But I think the USA team will be domiate this year, but hopefully canada can pull an upset and win

No matter the starting line-up the USA are a Dream Team and will win the PRE-Olympic.

USA 98 x 75 Brazil

Brazil and Argentina will be in Olympic Games too.

why anyone would start vince before any one of these is beyond me, even when he was healthy they are better right now..... except for maybe jermaine...... maybe team usa can go small and have tmac play pf......

no way vince "should" start ahead of tmac or ai on a talent evaluation basis, but's true maybe it'd be good strategy to have one of those come off the bench to take over.

if the canadian nba players werent so afraid of getting injured and not getting paid in the nba then i'd say canada at a lock #2.....

ason kidd would be placed in the injured list. Why? Because guards who can't shoot behind the arc is not welcome to the team.

carter to bench,maybe yeah but he is leader-in offensive side.
jason kidd to bench?i think coach isnt so dumb,he is one of clutch players,he is fast and he is only 193 cm tall and he takes many rebs.and jason kidd assists is clutch moments,of course he can shoot beyond the arc. well thats my opinion. :wink:

Yea...who needs a point guard who rebounds, plays lockdown defense, can go to the basket at will...get you an open shot on every fast break and make every other player on the team better? We need Steve Kerr instead. T-Mac, Vince, Duncan, Ray Allen and Iverson aren't enough offense already right?... :roll:

Geez...ever heard of chemistry? Plus Kidd coming down on the break with McGrady and Carter as his wings will be worth the price of admission alone...

I'm Pretty sure that they will start Kidd over bibby!, Come on Bibby isnt better than Kidd!!!,, Well I am not sure that will start Brand over Jermaine too. But lets wait and see on aug. 15!

There is also a good possibility that they change the rosters every game,,

no way if Iverson and T-Mac are on the same team..itz a shooting contest for the USA national team...and if T-Mac and Iverson are on the floor itz useless to put other three on cuz they won't have much chance to score...

well maybe pg's such as Marbury,Payton aren't intrested in particapating cuz they might want their offseason rest...PG is the smallest postion and they should get tired easily so i don't blame Stephon and other top pgs...and Matrix should be in the USA national team...he's a real player...Ben Wallace should come and to the USA national team his shot blocking would really be a help...dittio for Shaq,Mourning...

marbury's having surgery for an injury he's been playing with all year and delayed for this summer to avoid missing playing time. payton i dont know.

tmac and ai just dont heave shots around you know, they have good basketball iq, the only reason anyone thinks this is because on thier respective teams they are forced to force shots because their teammates seem to be doing nothing or just watching or providing screens. did you see ai in the all star game? he can really dish it. and the east coach was stupid to take tmac out of the game, thats all i have to say, he was one of the only reasons east had a chance, then they put in paul pierce. yech.

yeah, ai sure nos how 2 play pg, he was the only sg amongst the playoff leaders in assists, hes got great passing skills and if hed play pg now, hed share the ball like he never did befo

Vince led the team to the gold in the Sydney Olympics with the most ppg.
So I believe he should start over T-Mac.

Plus with a team of All Stars he will be more willing to share the ball than T-Mac. just look at their shots per game stats.

that was before vince was injured. and t-mac averaged more assists than vince this year didn't he? oh and t-mac will start before vince, why? cause vince was a replacement for kobe, so he wasn't on the team on the first place but he got on cause of injury and t-mac was on before so t-mac will start before him in my eyes.

Vince led them to gold 3 years ago, like K4R said, before his injuries. But now...3 years later, T-Mac is head and shoulder above Vince´s game. He became a better player then him and is IMO next to Kobe the best SG in the NBA right now....and also like K4R said. Why let someone in the starting line-up if he even wasnt selected for the team?
