Of course.

To get on topic, if Iguodala plays like he did in the FIBA World Championship, do you think the 76ers make the playoffs?

Not at all. I expect them around 11-12th in the East. Iggy is one player. One All-Star alone isn't getting the team to the playoffs.

No. Iggy played the 4th option at best in the WC. He didn't look to be the primary or secondary scorer and instead got to concentrate on defense and other things that made him effective.
The Sixers lack offense as it is. If Iggy doesn't look for his offense with the Sixers, the team pretty much sucks on offense more so than the Bobcats. Unless Brand experiences a flashback and thinks this season is 2006-2007. The Sixers still don't have a go to scorer (even the Bobcats have Stephen Jackson). I think Turner is more suited as a second option at best.

Somehow I don't see this happening.

It'll be hard for the Sixers to make the playoffs this season, but Iggy trade rumours have circulated the past few years. Who knows, maybe Iggy might be shipped out to somewhere better suited for him and we'll get someone better suited for us. Iggy has all-star potential none the less, he just needs to assert himself.

Yeah, looking at their roster, that wasn't even a legit question. It'd be nice to see Elton Brand from 06-07, but yeah, fat chance.

Brand is too banged up to be that 20/10 guy he was in 06-07. :(

Iguodala + scrubs for Melo?

If Jrue has a breakout season, then maybe, just maybe, they can make the playoffs. But being a 7th or 8th seed and get absolutely destroyed by Miami/Boston/Orlando is BS.

Melo doesn't want to go to Philly. He's afraid of the 'overzealous' fanbase booing him when he starts chucking again.

Had to dig up this thread again, fantastic win against the Spurs, we've been playing pretty well the past 2 months. Brand is rejuvenated, Holiday has been fluky, but has shown tons of potential, Turner hasn't been as good as hoped for, but I think he will find his game down the line. At least he has been one of the top rebounding guards; Iguodala has started to be a great distributor lately (4th in the league AST/TO). On the negative side he still has his shot-bricking moments. After a lackluster start for the season, Hawes has been at least somewhat decent and I'd prefer if we would keep him (of course at reasonable price).Hawesome

I like some of our predictions. Here they are catching up to a team with Amar'e Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony, and Chauncey Billups on it.

Terrific win against the Bulls last night. I saw Young leave the game - any word on him?

Doug Collins should be a lock for Coach of the Year.

Looking at my previous post, got it wrong again lol. Anyway...

Iggy and 7 other Sixers practiced during a weekend as Sixers great Allen Iverson weeps.

Iguodala re-arranged a planned trip to Paris in order to make it out to L.A. to train with seven of his teammates: Elton Brand, Jrue Holiday, Lou Williams, Jodie Meeks, Spencer Hawes, Evan Turner, and Craig Brackins.

"We were always talking about it during the summer, but we couldn’t figure out where. Lou, Elton, and I pretty much knew we were going to do it. Elton said, ‘Well the times are looking like this.’

On the team's communication on defense, even in pick-up games: "It was funny because we were actually rotating, using our rotations, playing help-side defense and executing pick and roll defense. Guys were like, ‘Wow, you guys are really talking on defense.’ It was still there. That was funny to me."

Good thing Collins implanted defense on them. Hope they don't forget it when a new season starts, whenever that may be.
