It's been mentioned in most of the articles that have been posted following his arrest.

Cavs: West's absence unexcused

Less than 24 hours after saying he was focused on basketball, Delonte West skipped Cleveland's first training camp practice without an excuse.

The Cavaliers' troubled guard did not show up for Tuesday's morning workout, and coach Mike Brown did not know if West would participate in the evening session at Cleveland Clinic Courts. It is not yet known if the Cavaliers have been in contact with West, who has been treated for bipolar disorder.

Brown said general manager Danny Ferry was handling West's unexpected absence.

Probably not the best way to go about being focused on basketball and the upcoming season. I still think the Cavs should stand by him and get him the help he needs. Maybe a leave of absence is necessary, though that's the kind of thing you need to run by your employer first.

Its obvious he's still being effected by his bipolar disorder. I don't think we should or will get rid of him either. Also i don't think his punishment will be as bad as expected either. Delonte said that their is a few details that we dont know about that might not make what he did seem as bad. I know there is no reason to trust what he says right now but I think he might be telling the truth here.

West skips second practice for Cavs

If I'm Danny Ferry or Mike Brown, I'm probably starting to get a little miffed.

Buyout his contract, and fire/release the guy. Let him get some needed psychological/medical help first before going back to his job of playing pro ball.

Apparently he's back with the team after going AWOL for the first two days of training camp.

I was there too. He wzsn't there because because the team recomended it for his safety. I got this from a twitter update to my phone.

Oh and the team looked really good by the way... although lebron went like 2 for 8 from the free throw line. Shaq was great and so was jamario moon. (the rookie danny green did decent too.)

LeBron did not play well at all, but I was pretty impressed with everyone else. J.J. had some fantastic dunks and I really like what I have seen out of Anthony Parker so far. Shaq made a great debut and Andre Barrett played a pretty solid game, although he probably won't make the team. I was pretty disappointed Mo didn't play either, but it really didn't matter. It was pretty funny when Andy came off the bench to try to block Daniel Gibson's three pointer and he ended up making it.
