I know that, but at one point that's what Orlando was facing - Shaq out, Koncak the replacement at centre. Koncak was then injured and forced to sit out the 96/97 season. Then as you said, Spencer was brought in and traded for Seikaly.

I think it would be fair to say that Seikaly was a pretty decent player, better than Koncak and spencer melt toghether...

About KG, hmmm i think that this trade is Big for all sides.
minnesota needs a change, and now. they cant bring another all star player coz of brandon long contract.
thats why they need some hot prospects...
its pritty obviues that KG will leave in the end of next season. and they should take care of their future.
in the other hand, Nets are facing a crucial year. they wanna continue to be the east best, but without kidd , its not really possible.
kidd will stay only if a big superstar will come. KG is the right person.
right now i think KG and Kidd together are almost unbeatable.
Finnaly, KG, my man needs a change...!
he is waisting his time in minnie, no draft picks, no young players, fans are getting fewer each year, and most of all there is no improvment.
i really think that a trade like this would be good for all sides.
