do u forget how clippers and phila played this summer against Russian CSKA and Khimki? and clipps're sucking!!
JosephSu, oh yeah, and also there are communists with ak-47 at the streets and a lot of bears walking around and all the people drinks vodka all the time?? don't be so funny!
Anthony15, as homee wrote CSKA would be at the middle spot of eastern conference! and in fact CSKA has great center, who can score well, 2 universal guards - one of them is well-known - Theodorus Papaloukas?! and 2 xtra 3-pt shooters! well, euroleague has a lot of universal players!
only god can judge me

having a team in another country would cause huge problems for televised gamed. the nba likes to have every playoff game on tv but if some european team was in the nba no one would be watching thier playoff games. imagine they made the finals and hosted a game 7 that no one in the us watched. then again all of europe would probably watch it and kill the ratings. i think they should just go with nba europe or something if they want to spread out.

I don't think there's any specific rule prohibiting it but at this point I don't think it's something they could actually apply for. If David Stern's dream of European expansion ever comes to fruition then it would be a possibility but for now it's not going to happen. Personally I hope it doesn't happen because it's just not feasible with long travel and television schedules. I definitely like the idea of a champions league or tournament, though.

Sorry, but it was like 3 AM in here and I was so tired I forgot how to spell European...

I Think the NFL gave a good example : there is the NFL europe. I think it could be a good idea to have a euro NBA.
But I am against european teams going to the NBA. I'd prefer having new cities coming to the NBA (Louisville, OKC, StLouis....)

But remember, there is a euroleague. So i dont think you can establish an european nba, cause there already is a big european legue. There has never been a big european football league

You are right, but Euroleague should use the key elements that have made the successof the NBA : a good logo (i prefer the bulls rather than cinemano : chicago vs bologna); great jerseys (not those stupid jerseys with all that sponsors)....

I agree. So the perfect solution would be a "fusion". Euroleague could be renamed "NBA Europe", and then play as they did know, the same with the NBA. If you cut off some games from the NBA schedule, both leagues could play against each other in a sort of champions league. That would be great

Why don't they just start NBA Europe, a branch of the NBA but in Europe it would make more sense. . then at the end of the year have N. American All Stars Vs European All Stars.

EDIT:

I think NBA should just stick with being in N. AMerica. If anything, add more Cnadian teams or expand to Mexico. Maybe even a team in Puerto Rico or something. Europe would be too crazy. Imagin you're a Laker and next thing you know, you're traded to Rome or Paris.

I have a feeling the actual Continental Basketball Association won't like that idea.

The National Basketball Association should stick to the United States and Toronto.

If they wanted to seed the top 12 NBA teams and the top four Euroleague teams into a playoffs that would be fun. The Spurs, Mavericks and Suns would still crush everyone, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun.

Oh, and there shouldn't be anymore NBA teams for at least fifteen years. 30 is more than enough. We're finally getting close to a level where there's enough talent for the teams. Only took twenty years, but we're getting there.

Only a handful of Euro players in the NBA are even decent, what makes you think a team could do well? Anthony15 being a retard as usual, a Euro team couldn't be + .500 in the NBA, four games over at that.

I'm really scared by Trajan Langdon!

i think the biggest problem would be players not wanting to play for euro teams. kinda how steve francis refused to play in canada.

Would you refuse the $$ if you can play under the Italian sun ?

BTW, I do not think the NBA should merge with the euroleague, keep 2 different championships but
- improve euroleague style (NBA like)
- make an all star week end with both championships players
- make a cross final four between NBA finalist and Euroleague finalist (maybe add Australian and south american champs)

And NBA stars know how to play man on man defence and when they will face the ``location defence`` lol i can`t find a good word for that, anyways, then they don`t know what to do.Thats why the USA dream team didn`t win the gold medal.NBA and Euro basketball has some different things inside them.
Blah,my english suck.

I think you're talking about position defense, correct? Being at the right place at the right time, and cutting down the angles and options an offensive player has?

Yep,thats what i meant,thanks :)

if i was a top 15 or 20 draft pick? i sure would refuse it, as would most american born players. just refuse to sign and get traded to an american team.
