I agree. I had Utah in the playoffs this season, but I expected Boozer to be back sooner.

Hah, what an idiotic thread. Offseason moves haven't even started yet, we don't even know what trades will be made and what free agents will sign where. Hell, the draft hasn't even taken place.
True......not to mention mid-season trades.

You can't really make any wise judgments yet without looking at teams' activity in the off-season. There should be the likes of Miami, Detroit, Cleveland, Indiana, Chicago and New Jersey making it from the East. From the West expect Pheonix, San Antonio, Dallas, Sacramento, Houston, LA Clippers.
However do not count out teams like Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta and Charlotte because with the amount of top players possibly on the trading block I feel small teams could make strong contenders a la Phoenix 2004-5. I named these teams because of their cap space so I feel with the right additions they could possibly become contenders. With the likes of Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson and Paul Pierce(?) some teams may end in the Conference or NBA Finals.
Just because Amare Stoudamire is returning and Miami are reigning champs doesn't mean we will see a Miami-Phoenix finals next year because a couple of smart moves in the off-season can make a hell of a diffference.

West:
1. Suns (if they use the same lineup + Amare)
2. Rockets (if Yao and McGrady stay healthy)
3. Spurs (if they can find a decent bigman)
4. Mavericks (I expect them to drop)
5. Grizzlies (They will surely improve)
6. Clippers (May battle with the Grizzlies and Mavs for seeds 4-6)
7. Kings (Will battle with the Hornets and Sonics for seeds 7-8)
8. Hornets
East:
1. Cavaliers (I expect them to improve even more)
2. Heat (Without GP and Zo they will probably fall even further)
3. Pistons (I think if BW is done, they will battle for the third seed)
4. Nets (Big question mark considering Kidd)
5. Chicago (I expect them to be a lock for seed 4 or 5)
6. Bucks (Same here, they will improve a lot)
7. Wizards (Biggest question, I think seeds 7 and 8 will be a battle between the Wizards, Celtics, Pacers and Sixers)
8. Celtics

Err, your format is all screwed up. There has to be at least one team from the northwest division (Utah

) in the playoffs. Also, If Cleveland had the second seed than the highest Detroit could seed is fourth.
Well, if they don't change the format next season.

Argh, you're right on the west, but in the East I was considering the hopefully new playoff format

Lol Wiot...the past two seasons you told me that the Wolves would be better than the Suns. You're 0-2 buddy...care for 0-3?

I had 2003-2004 season right though, didn't I?

I don't think I ever said the Suns would be better in 03-04.
EDIT: I joined ASSL in February of that season
