Despite having such amazing potential to succeed in this league. I can only picture CV31 being an amazing starter and someone who can put up good numbers. Something like 17-7-3 or something. But I doubt he'll reach the all-star status that Bosh reaches.

Lakers will woo him their way with some hot cheerleader babes at his doorstep.

Man, if that happends and LA does get Bosh, I will never watch another Raptors game.

Bosh is dedicated to the organization, he's not leaving. They've given him the minutes and leadership he wanted ever since VC left.

I suppose anything's possible but I too see Charlie V as a really good player behind Chris Bosh or another All-Star calibre player rather than on the same level, at least for the immediate future. Some players do bloom into All-Stars later in their careers after a trade and they are thrust into the leadership role making one or two All-Star appearances with a couple of great seasons, perhaps that could happen.

But as a few people have already pointed out, Charlie V wasn't behind Vince Carter and Jalen Rose in the pecking order. True, he's had a fine rookie season with the opportunities that have presented themselves but the comparison isn't necessarily fair. I'd say it's too early to say he'll surpass Bosh.

i believe he will develop very well into the Raptors second/third, probably behind peterson at this point in option number (notice i did not mention Mike James), but later will probably become the second scorer. I think stats-wise, he will fall maybe just short of bosh's prime stats but still allstar numbers. Another reason i think some people think he may become better player than Bosh is that he his style of play is more exciting to watch than bosh's. His main things to work on is consistency, sometimes better decisions, and defense. Glad that he has shown he can play SF, but general quicks is a little bit of concern but on offence, he deffinately has the size advantage. If he can maybe get better lateral quickness or better anticipation, he will be able to play small forward for both ends of the court.

CV is really different, he looks kinda soft, he doesn't seem hardworking or dedicated, yet i know he is... he doesn't have the size to be a great big man, he doesn't have the shooting touch like dirk or other great scorers..
he does have a jumpshot, and a post game, but neither of them are dominating.. i think he'll be a marion type of player, without the steals and less blocks and rebounds

soo maybe like a 18-20ppg, 8rebounds, 3 assists, a steal and a block, with 1-2 3pfg
all-star? maybe, but hes not a superstar, i'll be surprised.. Bosh will be a superstar.. if you don't think he is already

I think Villaneuva floats around the perimeter too often and although I know that CV is trying to fit the small foward mold and play a more perimeter-oriented game, I believe its an added bonus if he keeps up his post game. While his arsenal downlow is limited, it sure is effective. I'd definitely like to see go there more often.

He's not a "soft" player, and he's far from it. But I think that he shouldn't be jacking up as many threes as he has been. Maybe its because his game reminds me a lot of Antoine Walker's.....

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but Charlie has a really nice one hand ball fake that works fairly well to beat his defender off the dribble. I agree with its_asdf that he should keep up with his post game. the larger the arsenal he has, the more dangerous he is (obviously) . I also agree with the fact he shouldnt throw up as many threes as he currently does. he should take his man off the dribble or post up a little more often. One last thing, whoever said CV floats on the perimeter at times is true. At times he seems slightly lost. If he can learn to provide help defense at right moments, i think he can easily average almost 1.5 to 2 blocks a game.
