Leave this man. This is just a bandwagon topic. I mean, be realistic.
I have been kinda a fan( not a big one though) of Kobe since late December. The 81 point game showed a lot of his scoring ability and his mentality but it doesn't necessarily put him on the Jordan's level. I mean, no doubt Kobe is going to be a legend with the stats and 3 rings, but Jordan is someone more than a legendary player. We have the Jordan eras and we hear people concidering him God of basketball. Kobe has delighted fans this season by his ability to take a crappy or you call it an inconsistent team to numerous and memorable wins, but not trying to show that he was the true successor of Jordan. He does this by driving up his scoring average to recent high while many of the Lakers struggle on scoring baskets. But the cost was there and was significant. Once consider the most all-round player in the league and a premier defender, Kobe has his outputs in these aspects dropped drastically. So far, Kobe has yet to show that he is on the level where many who jumped on the bandwagon wish, but those who critisized of even hate Kobe have often gone too far. I mean, everyone sees he is still developing his game even at this stage and the shift of his game at least brings more Ws and bends the history a bit.
Props to Kobe, regardless.
