He wouldn't be the first player to fall in the draft, guards especially if they're a little undersized for what scouts consider to be their natural/likely NBA position.

Arenas assists on 17.6% of his posessions and Kobe Bryant assists on 11.6% of his posessions so you can say Kobe's more of a "ballhog" and Arenas is a better passer. Kobe's an overall better scorer, however, because he gets to the line like a madman. Kobe's also been turning the rock over at an incredibly low rate this year while Arenas has been sub-par. Defensively it's no contest: Kobe's superior.

So yes, it's obvious that Kobe's the superior player but we all knew that so I don't know why I'm saying this.

Holy shit....Arenas is having a GREAT night. At halftime, the score is 61-55 Heat, But Arenas has 29 points, 9-13 from the field, 3-4 from 3pt line, 8-9 from Free Throw line and 4 assists. Still halftime.

yesss, arenas didn't break 50. i would've been pissed if he broke jordan's 51 point performance -- although it's inevitable that he's gonna break it.

Damn.....he had a shitty 4th quarter......I seriosuly thought he would have finished with more than 55 points......Good night though, 47pts, 8asts, and 7 rebs is pretty good numbers. He also shot the ball 54%.

It's a pity that the Miami Heat constantly make the Wizards their bitch. How many straight have they won over the Wizards now dating back to last season? Miami swept the regular season series and the postseason series last year (some in shocking fashion) and seems to be picking up where they left off with regard to the Wizards. (N)

Primarily about shot attempts, yes. And Arenas is playing a combo guard, which means he plays off the ball much more than the rest of more 'traditional' PGs. He shares ballhandling duties a lot with Chucky and Daniels.

That still doesnt change the fact that he should average more assists and less assist than the devil kobe. well, he does but you get my point.

% of teams shots

Kobe - 32.6%
Iverson - 31.9%
Lebron - 27.1%
Tmac - 26.6%
Arenas - 26.1%
Dirk - 25.2%
Allen - 24.8%
Wade - 24.4%
Vince - 24.4%
Pierce - 23.3%
Brand - 22.5%
Carmelo - 22.2%
Redd - 22.2%

Arenas is not close to being on Kobe's level in terms of percentage of team shots taken. Arenas is not a ball hog, unless Lebron is now too, he takes only 2 less shots than Kobe because his team in general takes more shots. He's also more efficient in his scoring. Higher FG%, much higher 3PT%, and going to the line 1 time less a game.

How many point guards do we have in this list? Yeah, that's right.

Point is a point guard is supposed to take less shots than a sg, he's supposed to drop more dimes than a sg. But wait, here's Arenas, averaging more shots than dirk, allen, wade, vince, pierce, brand, melo and redd. He's on his way to catching up on t-mac. Dude, the guy is a frakin pg, call him a combo guard or whatever but he's still the one running the offense and he's still the one tasked to set up his teammates.
