I believe Riley is still capable of doing a good job, however it's a shame that it will come at the expense of Van Gundy who has done a fine job the last couple of seasons. No matter what the real reason behind the change, whether it's pressure from Riley, family problems or perhaps a combination of both it's unfortunate to see him go.

I find it funny that The Rat didn't want to coach the team when it sucked, but now he's coming back. Big phony.
yeah, Van Gundy made this team good and he gets axed? not cool. Riley will now take credit for whatever the heat do (like losing to Pistons

i'm happy that riley is the new coach. I didn't say i'm happy that Van Gundy resigned.

Jeffx, I agree with you about Pat. It does seem really lame that he comes back now that the team is good again.
