He was always a good shot blocker but his scoring and rebounding has never been like this.

Camby's always been a double double guy though , I think he has , not sure .

Out of 10 seasons , 5 of them he has averaged a double double .Damn , I just noticed how much injuries have pulled his career down . Career high for games in a season is 72 . OUCH . Anyways , looking at his past stats , he's been playing incredible compared to his last seasons.

I was surprised too, I honestly didn't realise how much of a jump this season was from the rest of his career.

Bloody hell

if Denver finish in a high playoff spot he could be looking at MVP consideration if he keeps it up. It's fairly doubtful though.

..hell no!
Well putting into consideration how he's been doing almost everything for the team I mean he's only got assistance on offense from Carmelo...who else has significantly helped the team so far? K-Mart is playing crap like everyone expected, Dre is a shadow as always and Boykins is jacking up shots.
He's putting on an 'Allen Iverson Show' for Denver right now, he may not be high in his scoring but I think those crazy defensive stats and his pure doing it all style should put him as Top 5 for now.

go umass
he finally got good again.. been a while, hated him when he was with NY, and when he made that shitty video game cover, but now. go camby!
they are thinking of retiring camby's jersey here. but i think he was good but not good enough to get a retired number

Let's just say with Shaq out, Camby has been the best center in the league so far this season. Yao has actually been quite dissapointing, I think he's 0-__ without Tmac this season. He was also shut down by Boris Diaw.

When did that happen?
Sat Nov 26, 2005 11:57 am
when phoenix started diaw at center vs the rockets

LOL
I checked NBA.com yesterday and somewhere wrote that Camby is finally injured
Sun Nov 27, 2005 12:55 pm
Yeah, his friggen leg! Aww man, he is soooo good. I just wish Denver was a lil better. Melo is stupid.
Mon Nov 28, 2005 1:49 am
He has a bruised right leg

He had to get injured...
Sat Dec 03, 2005 2:43 pm
33 points 20 rebounds today. Guess the injury wasn't that bad.
Sat Dec 03, 2005 3:21 pm
shit did this guy spend the whole freaking summer watching and playing hoops?? jesus how does a 31 year old guy turn from an injury plagued chornic underacheiver to the best center in the league right now... granted the season is young.... perhaps there is hope for rasho, curry, jerome james and the other underacheivers

camby for MIP
Sat Dec 03, 2005 3:35 pm
Camby has always shown shades of greatness through out his career but he's also been frail as a biscuit. Good luck to him.
Sat Dec 03, 2005 6:31 pm
Awesome game today, despite the loss. It's been said before, but that's the kind of Camby the Raptors were hoping for when they drafted him back in 1996.
Sat Dec 03, 2005 7:57 pm
Is camby in his contract year?
Sat Dec 03, 2005 9:19 pm
No, he's signed for a few more years yet. I don't think he's got an opt-out clause either.
Sat Dec 03, 2005 9:34 pm
17 ppg, 14 rpg and 3 bpg is just... holy cow!
Well, Most Improved Player as everyone else has said and a startign berth or at least an appearance at Houston in Feb!
Sat Dec 03, 2005 9:35 pm
I don't know about starting because I don't think he's got a big enough fan following, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him voted to the teams as a reserve if he keeps it up.
Sat Dec 03, 2005 10:12 pm
Yeah.. if the Nuggs can keep putting some W's on the board and he continues to put up the numbers, the coaches should be more than happy with Camby.
Sat Dec 03, 2005 11:13 pm
He's probably going to be in the ASG, especially with the lack of solid centers nowadays.
I don't think he's going to be a contender for MIP though. Yeah, his numbers improved, but I think a guy like David West will rather get it (if he keeps it up, too).
