You guys have all forgotten another one of the greats, 'pistol' Pete Marovich. Where's the love.

so that's why you "just decent" eh?

anyway yeah i agree magic is the best hands down. If he did not have to retire I don't think Jordan would have 6 rings..

Marbury himself said he was the best, so I say...

Magic.

Oscar Robertson. He controlled the ball, ran the offense, and made sure whatever the Bucks had to do was done right. He made everyone around him a better player. Whether it was scoring or passing, he wanted every possession to count. In terms of offensive production, he was the best of the best. Although many consider him to be a small forward, i'd still say he was the best point guard around. 25.7 ppg and 9.5 apg were his career averages, fyi.

He was a one man show, and didn't win much, plus, he was a shooting guard.

As for the poll, the answer is pretty obvious. Magic Johnson. Maybe he wasn't the best of defenders or long range bombers, but he is the best all around player to ever step on a court. He was no pg, sg, sf, pf or C, he was a basketball player that did it all.

My following choices would be

#2-Big O
#3-Stockton
#4-Kidd (pre Knee surgery)
