I think this is a good deal for the Celtics because they now have the chance to develop their young players, which would be harder with a superstar like Pierce on the team who wants to win now.

Plus, the Celtics have a legitimate successor to Pierce already in place with Gerald Green, who is going to get more minutes thanks to this trade. And Nene is going to be a beast after working out a lot this summer, and he'll be even more fired up because he fianlly is starting.

So good trade for the Celtics. (Y)

I'm undecided what to think of the Nuggets now, this might either put them over the top or create chemistry problems...

i hope the Celts play a Nene & Jefferson starting combo. That could become the Easts best combo in a few yrs.

Look at their starting line-up if it'll happen:

PG Watson / Boykins
SG Paul Pierce
SF Carmelo Anthony
PF K-Mart
C Marcus Camby-man

=== 5th seed in the west maybe up.They will be close to Hou,Sac,and Phx..

hope it will come true. (Y)

Another step for Western supremacy... :|

Great trade for the Nuggets, maybe the Celts could get more than Andre and Nene. Although Nene Hilario would be a good addition to Jefferson for the future...

I think both teams can be happy about this swap, but the better end of the deal is for the Nuggets , at least on paper. Not only did they get the shooter they wanted, the got an All-Star. (Y)

Hello? It's far from official, and not really probable either considering Karl's dislike of PP, and Bostons logjam at the 1. It took RealGM about 1 week to pick up on this rumor.

Calm down.

If it were true though, I'd be pissed if we:

1. Didn't get Washingtons 1st 2006 or Denvers unprotected in 2007.
2. Get rid of Mark Blount

Like Nene, he'll soon explode, Miller is a good fit but makes the Dan the Dick-signing redundant.

rofl @ Dan the Dick

Hm, This trade thingy is good for Boston getting rid of PP but they have a huge logjam at the 1, which isn't good, cos i like most of their 1's.

And Mark Blount :x :shake:

Yeah Nene will be an explosion :?

I like Boston's lineup if this goes through...

C: Delonte West
PF: Marcus Banks
SF: Gary Payton
SG: Andre Miller
PG: Dan Dickau

Maybe their doing an experiment, like the Hawks with their swingman, now they'll have a bunch 5 mini-men running around on the court

Team will not win games when they have 5 point guards with no decent big man at all.If that is an experiment that will not work. (N)

Walker would have left anyhow since Boston was right in not giving him the 6 year deal he wanted. So instead Ainge swinged it to getting something for nothing. Not much grant you, but much better then nothing.

The TE is useful to say the least
Q.Woods will be cut
Borchardt will prove himself in TC
2 2nds can be used to get a better positioning in the draft or as sweetners.

Much better then nothing infact.

PP refuses to mesh with Doc, is always pouting, and wont get better by the youthmovement that's going on now.

So yeah, trading those two is a good decision. But getting Dre and Nene back seems short of the mark.

2 protected 1st's, taking Blount and maybe giving up DerMarr (if they ever sign him) would be better.

With NO decnt big men.......
Well they do have a few....
Nene
Al Jefferson should go off this season
Raef LaFrentz

and thats about it, not much, but Nene and A Jeff should pile it on this season.

Perkajeff could be the boom in Beantown. Veal is a decent backup, and Borchardt could be good á la Przybila if he keeps healthy.

This is still just a rumour...

I like the trade both ways to some degree, more for Denver, and less for Boston. Boston really get's young, and I mean young. They don't really need to rebuild, but it seems like Pierce has been disgruntled, and I think this is the way you handle it when it happens except for the fact that you expect more for Pierce.

Nene and Al Jefferson in the frontcourt , that's going to be beastly. I've always been a big fan of Nene, so I like that he'll get to start again. If it happens, I think this is the big thing, b/c Nene can be very good, and was already pretty good before.

Andre Miller makes them more stable at PG, I think, since Marcus Banks is still iffy, and Delonte West isn't a real PG, but if it's a youth movement, they don't need a PG especially since they also signed Dickau, Boston does get worse as a team, but their's positives, mainly getting Nene, outside of that, it's kinda stupid lol.

For Denver, well, they just gave themselves a little nudge in the West with this happening. They now have 2 "stars", a nice starting lineup, and decent depth. They need another big though, all they have right now is Elson.

not good if Cotton Camby goes down and Elson doesn't really cut it as a backup. That's their only problem atm

Nene will have to play the C in the Boston's system which I don't believe is the correct decision, but he'll do just fine, due to lack of big men in the East. I espect from Boston some major moves to get rid of Lafrentz, possibly Blount and a couple of PGs for a SF and cap room. Their lineup will be young, but talented and stacked with potential:
C:Nene
PF:Jefferson
SF:Davis
SG:Allen
PG: Miller
Dickau, Scalabrine, West, Green, Reed (watch out for this guy), Perkins,...

VanK,

As I see that line-up will no go further!Theyre lucky if they'll win 35 games of the season and definitely will not go to the playoffs thats for sure! (N)
