bench = luke jackson(injured last year, haven't seen him play much since college but has a chance to be decent)
vareajo(pretty solid guy by seeing him play last year, has a chance to take gooden's starting spot)
eric snow(average defense little offense)
tractor traylor(big body down low but a slimmed down version of oliver miller which is never a good thing)
ira newble(above average defense, no offense)

looks like a pretty weak bench to me... :?

Traylor was cut.

Yeh and Newble should be cut!!!
And what about Wagner???? He will be a good role player i predict this season...but only if hes healthy.

What is wrong with Newble? He's a good role player, the best perimeter defender Cavs have (Snow lost his wheels)... He can't score, but that doesn't make him a bad player. I liked Traylor though. If nothing else, he can fill the entire paint by himself .

i think he'll probably sign with the pacers, coz as far as i can remember, he wants a team who is a championship contender and the pacers is the best fit for that description.. :D

What the Pacer needs is a centre.

You mean like Jeff Foster who is the league leader in rebounds per 48 minutes? Or do you mean like David Harrison who came off of a steller rookie season and is only getting better? Or do you mean like Dale Davis who is getting old, but has more in the tank then people think and still is one of the best post defenders in the league?

Wasn't it not long ago that Jermain came out and said Foster was great but not really the kind of C the team needed?

As I have said before, the three of them MIGHT make for a serviceable center COMBINED.

Better then the "Z" brothers as everyone called them... Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and Martynas Andriuskevius... who suspiciously doesn't actually have the letter Z in his name

I'm sorry, but I have to inform that Jeff Foster is a solid backup C, while Harrison has a serious disease. Pathological laziness. He has potential, no doubt about that. And he won't use it, no doubt about that either.

Plus Dale Davis is going to get traded to the nearest retirement home for two bedpans and a pillow before the deadline.

They'll be the 'NAS' brothers. ZydruNAS, MartyNAS, and SaruNAS. Now all we need is D'Artagnan...

EDIT: Nothing is official yet about Jasikevicius. The Pacers are still courting him:

The Pistons go to the NBA finals two years in a row, coming one win away from back to back championships and this guy still ranks them behind Miami and Indiana...

It must suck being an Indiana fan though, knowing they're not gonna be getting past the 2nd round for a while now that Cleveland, Miami, and Detroit are all in their way. Even if the Cavs don't sign Sarunas, they're still looking deadly this year. It will definitely be fun to watch him wherever he goes, but I think he would help the Cavs the most out of any of the other teams interested in him.

I would seriously put all my money on the Pistons having a better record in the season and going deeper into the playoffs than the Pacers even if Larry Brown leaves and Indiana is injury-free the entire year. You give them too much credit.

lol, you're really good at making them look like All Stars, but I think you overestimate them with your Pacers bias. I like Foster though, I do think he's underrated.

Uh oh... I think someone is trying to convince themselves...

Let's see... the last time both teams played each other, while both were healthy I believe was one cold November night, the final score was 87-72 I believe. The boys in blue and yellow were the winners. We whipped your fucking asses that night, the score was closer then the game really was. I also seem to remember the Pacers taking the Pistons 6 games without our best player, and our other best player playing with one severly injured.

It must suck being a Detroit fan knowing your team will be lucky to even MAKE the second round of the playoffs next year with a Central division that's as strong as it is. You guys are fucking cooked without larry Brown and it will be fun to watch, just make sure you don't leave the boards so I can mock your sorry ass team next year.

Fuckin Detroit pussies always bashing on the Pacers, but deep down, they know who the better team really is, and they know that next year is the year that the pacers are healthy, and the Pisstons don't have LB anymore. The Pistons are finished, I don't even see them as a threat anymore.

BTW, I didn't even rank Detroit behind Indiana and Miami, I did that in no particular order, if I were to do it in order it would be Indiana, Miami, Chicago, Detroit.

On to David Harrison... VanK, have you ever seen him play? He works his ass off. What you said about him couldn't be more wrong. I watch David Harrison all the time, and the guy showed MONSTER potential, and works his ass off in every area of the game. I don't know what you're talking about.

Cyanide, I wasn't trying to make them look like all-stars, I'm just saying they are very good for the role they play on the team. We have 4 guys capable of scoring 30+ points on any given night. For a Center, we don't need someone who can put up big scoring numbers, we just need someone who is a good defender (all 3 are better defenders then many starting centers) and a guy who can rebound (Foster and Dale are more then capable.)

I'll give you that, but he was a rookie last year, and that's pretty typical for rooks.

He still looks a bit lost in the Summer League, from what I've read. But when his switch is on, he is brutalizing opposition by sheer strength. :D

That's Reggie Evans.

Foster leads the playoff rebounds per 48 minutes, which is only a 13 game sample.

Naw he's dominating the Summer League points wise. He can't fucking grab rebounds though...

He dominated Andrew Bogut today, he scored 16 points in 14 minutets, and held Bogut to 6 points.
