Was he? I forget what he was like last year, but this year he wouldn't have meritted(sp) that at all. I think that was a pretty normal pick.

Well, not trying to sound like a homer, but when you pick a second rounder, you statistically have 25% chance of getting someone who will actually play in the league, and about 4% chance that you'll get a solid contributor/quasi-star type player.

Taft's heart and work ethic are questionable, but every scout agrees that the kid has Top-10 talent, if not no. 1 talent. He's just to bored and unmotivated to let it go out. Much like Villanueva's issues, but the risk with the no. 7 pick is far greater than with the no. 42. pick.

So, if someone managed to wake Taft up, we got ourselves a steal. If not, what did we really lose other than a long-shot bet?

I'm still thrilled about the Green pick. Ainge proves one again to me that he is a high quality GM (let's not talk about Blount... let's just look the other way).

I think the pick was right, no question about it, that talent at 18, damn... But now the hard part comes, at the PG/SG/SF we now have Allen, West, Payton, Pierce, Davis, Green, Reed and Gomes (without counting Orien Greene). Someone has to go, simple as that.

I've stated for a few months now that this core ain't going nowhere close to a new ring. So rebuilding is the way to go.

Pierce, Payton and Allen should go. Allen is young, but I just don't like him, we can do better.

I agree with him along with Green and Granger because all 3 suppose to have been lottery picks.

Nate Robinson. He's insanely talented. It would have been so much fun to see him play in PHX. Should be good in New York too.

Green, fo' sho'! This guy is really talented, and he was expected to be one of the top draft picks, not lower than 7th. But as the Raptors (even their second pick) and the Lakers didn't pick him, he slipped down all the way, because other teams had different ideas and were looking for a different kind of player than Green. I was so happy that Indiana selected Granger, and I was just sure Boston would select Green. And it really became reality! I was really happy! I bet 100 bucks he will participate at 2006 Slam Dunk. He has some real amazing vertical leap. His three point shooting is amazing also, and the last two seasons he didn't average less than 12 RPG! W.O.W.! He's definetely the biggest steal!

Nate Robinson was projected as a 2nd Rounder in many mock drafts so I still dont think thats a steal.

I really doubt he's better in any aspect than Green, maybe he's quicker, but no other point is better. You're just jealous because we got a steal with a top prospected player, and you have to be content with that midget. Well, truth hurts, in two different meanings. We'll kick your NYC ass anyways, as we did last season --> 3-1.

Since I'm biased, I think Larry Bird made a smart move with Granger, though he was lucky, but I still say Roko Ukic to Toronto is the steal of the draft :P

Hey, CK, I remember you used to wish that Gerald Green would end up a Knick, you even had a sig of him in a NY jersey... How do you feel with the Knicks picking Frye at 8 , and not Green? Just a query...

In terms of immediate impact I would say Ukic or Granger.... in terms of future I would choose Mr Green.

Wait, another combo guard in the city that never sleeps? At least it won't be hard for Robinson to do better than JC...(yes Robinson is a combo guard, he is very short, but has a scorer's mentality and isn't the best playmaker).

Granger to Indiana. Then Green and Gomes to Boston. I thought Warrick could've gone 9 to the W's (good fit), but I'm not really high on him and if he didn't go 9 or 15, IMO, he was bound for a bit of a slip. Ukic to Toronto and Taft to GS were nice picks too.

I liked Green better as an individual, but Frye has four years of college experience, which I think is very useful. Frye also fits our needs, while Green would've been one of many backcourt players (just like in Boston). So yeah, I'm happy with this, only the 30th pick could've been used a little better, Lee's alright though so no complaints from me.

Dude, I don't who you are talking about when you say "we". You've been a fan of every NBA franchise in a period of 3 days. Besides that, I don't give a rat's ass about your opinion.
Oh and if you really want to know, Nate is a better shooter and has more hops. If you want to know what else, watch some NBA ball this season.
Robinson is definately a steal, considering he was traded for Dijon Thompson (Q and Kurt are pretty much of equal value).

ps. I'm almost hoping the Knicks will never have the best record in the league or else stupid bandwagoners like you will begin to like them.

Pure jealousy, man. You don't even notice that, because you can't. -->

Green has the best hoops of this year's draft and the gnome, is he even capable of touching the net? And Green scored 6 from 9 attempted three pointers in the McDonalds All-American. And I don't think Robinson will get much playing time, because of Marbury, and the Knicks even wanna sign Mighty Mouse. Then he has absolutely no chance of getting more than 5 minutes. Green won't play much neither, but he'll get 12 or 15 or so. Both players have to develop, and over the years Robinson can get better than Green... it all depends where both are playing. And the only steal you made were trading Q-Rich.

Hmm... no. :P I'm Boston fan since they traded Ricky, means more than one year. And everybody knows that I'm Boston fan. Maybe you don't want to know.
