yeah, but wot they do is insert ads, so the game ends up running longer than in real life, there's no way OT made it run 40 mins long. they do that with the delayed telecasts as well, they run it for the same length of time, remove the half time show and about ten minutes of the game, and replace it with ads. i hate it! "Thankyou for watching this ESPN program. we move ahead with action following this commercial." just show us the freaking game!

I'll just catch Andrew Bogut's Australian FTA Tv record 30 seconds on the 6 oclock news!

You're right about the evening replay, they'll often "move ahead due to time constraints" while filling that time with ads. But in the live broadcasts, they cut to a commercial in the right place, for the right duration of time. I can't remember an instance this year when they've overrun live action with a commercial break, only that PTI Australia debacle.

And with the break between the end of the fourth and overtime and the timeouts, OT did run the game up around an extra half an hour. But you're spot on about the evening replay, they'll often jump ahead for time constraints when they could just cut out some commercials. But it's not an issue during the live broadcast.

Positive. They'll even cut back to live action in the middle of a commercial if need be. But they really could handle the evening replay a lot better.
