Detlef. He's pretty.
Speaking 'bout pretty: Rick Fox or Ron Harper?
Thu Jun 02, 2005 7:40 pm
man.. i dont look at guys! lol
But Rick Fox is a pretty boy.... is it me or did he used to do his hair for games?
ISiah Thoms or Jerry West

What is it with you? Don't you read? It's
HISTORICAL, Carter & Nash aren't historical yet. Atleast try and read & follow the game as Gloveguy explained.

It's not the first time.

sorry

Isiah. He didn't need Wilt to win a ring.
Havlicek or Worthy?
Thu Jun 02, 2005 11:13 pm
Havlicek. Worthy had a head like a melon. Plus, he needed glasses.
Fighting spirit: Oakley or Rodman?
Thu Jun 02, 2005 11:36 pm
Rodman in a blowout. Oakley was a tough guy, but nobody except for maybe artest compares to Rodman.
Best shot blocker: Dikembe Mutombo or Manute Bol
Fri Jun 03, 2005 2:16 am
but nobody except for maybe artest
I don't think he meant "fighting" spirit literally.
Fri Jun 03, 2005 7:22 am
Mutombo is better at blocking shots!
Longevity: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Karl Malone

Yeah... I know

Longevity: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Karl Malone
Kareem played a little longer, but Karl was a little more durable. I'm actually going to go with Kareem though. Robert Parish was around longer than both of them though.
Bigger waste of potential: Derrick Coleman or Joe Smith?
Fri Jun 03, 2005 12:35 pm
Coleman...he had ALL the tools to be a superstar. He could hit 3's, post up, rebound, play point forward, whereas Smith...well, he didnt have great potential or a wide variety of skills.
Grant Hill vs Scottie Pippen
Fri Jun 03, 2005 12:46 pm
I'll say Scottie Pippen, partly due to personal preference but also because he was the superior defender and three point shooter.
Bob Cousy or John Stockton?
Fri Jun 03, 2005 12:50 pm
havent seen much of cousy, but i'll go with Stockton. He had a jump shot that everyone envied and yet he looked to set ppl up. he was also an excellent defender with a very high bball IQ....not to mention the competition he played against....Payton, Kidd, Hardaway, KJ, I Thomas
D Robinson v S O'Neal (not past 2000)
Fri Jun 03, 2005 12:54 pm
I'd take the Admiral. He was the better athlete and all-around player, and back in the 90s Shaq was yet to develop into the truly dominant player we're familiar with today. He was a force, but not the same player he became during the Lakers' championship runs.
Which player, banned from the NBA for drug violations would have had the more impressive career: Michael Ray Richardson or Alvin Robertson?
Fri Jun 03, 2005 12:55 pm
not sure, but what about Roy Tarpley....dbl digits in rebounding off the bench, not bad
Fri Jun 03, 2005 1:54 pm
alexboom wrote:Xavier McDaniel, for all the energy he used to bring on the court
Ricky Pierce or Detlef Schrempf?

but rambo was an energy/hustle too

haha possibly because of personal bias, MR richardson... who's game resembles Jamal Crawford. a unique scorer who could play either guard position and score in bunches
john paxson or b.j. armstrong?
Fri Jun 03, 2005 2:11 pm
Ah, a tough one. I'm going to say Paxson, for the way he played down the stretch in big games. Game 5 of the 1991 NBA Finals and of course the game winning shot in Game 6 of the 1993 NBA Finals spring immediately to mind.
How about a coaching one: Phil Jackson or Red Auerbach?
Fri Jun 03, 2005 6:13 pm
This is hard. Although Phil had the dominating superstars which Red says made it easier, Phil had to manage all the giant egos... Red's teams played more of a team game... Phil had MJ and Shaq, the most dominant players in their eras while Red had star players but they didnt dominate like Air or Shaq did... Phil won with two franchises, Red won with one...
I'm leaning towards Red a bit more... Yep... Red!
Who would have been better? Oscar Smidt (Brazilian) or Reggie Miller
Sat Jun 04, 2005 12:40 am
Reggie Miller because...WHO THE **** is Smidt???
Ok, now for entertainers: Daryl Dawkins or Charles Barkley?
Sat Jun 04, 2005 1:38 am
Barkley, no question. Dawkins was funky, but Sir Charles is much, much more than that (probably a hundred pounds more ).
Who had a better haircut: Kenny "Sky" Walker or Scottie Pippen (circa 1990)?
Sat Jun 04, 2005 2:17 am
Well, they had about the same, didn't they? But Pippen's haircut really added to his beautiful face, so I'll say Pippen.
This one needs no introduction: Oliver Miller or Shawn Kemp?
Sat Jun 04, 2005 2:33 am
Kemp....at least he could get off the ground at one point in his life
which guy would you take in their primes
which big man would you rather have dumping 3's.....Terry Mills or Antoine Walker
Sat Jun 04, 2005 5:57 am
Mills. Better procentage.
Who had a better vertical - Erving (ABA) or Dominique W.?
Sat Jun 04, 2005 6:37 am
While finding out who had a better vertical would take some actual research, I'll take the Doctor on this one. 'Nique's style was more of an odd combination of flash and power, while Erving was the first player to officially dunk from the free throw line -- he was more graceful in his dunking. Plus, there hasn't been anyone not named Michael Jordan who's been better at staying in the air as long as possible.
Arvydas Sabonis(pre-NBA) or Toni Kukoc
