Never understood that trade from either team's standpoint...they both shot themselves in the foot.
As people have posted, Sac runs an offense heavy on passing. Brad Miller was a typical 1-2 APG C, when he got to Sac his APGs doubled to 4.3 & 3.9. Kenny Thomas went from 1.6 APG in Philly to 2.9 in Sac. No team would have benefitted more from C-Webb's passing skills than Sacramento.
AI wants to penetrate and cause defensive shifts and chaos. Hard to do when C-Webb is planted in the paint waiting for AI to pass him the ball so he can start the offense.
Philly wanted Amare (take the pass & dunk it), they got the opposite instead with C-Webb (handle the ball & dish it).

no youre not.
anyway, if he wants out i hope they let him go with his huge-ass contract.
if not, i just hope his leg will get better so hes actually able to play in the low post like a PF is supposed to, at least at times.

And you're what now, 11?
c-webb... you don't know what it means to be a fan of a team. You can't abandon the team because you don't like what they are putting out on the court.

yep and all those players could careless about scoring 20ppg muchless 15. Iverson would fit well in Detriot in that defensive minded team

I thought the same thing but then again, Brown is Detroit's coach.

I donno whats really wrong with changing favrite teams. I've been a basketball fan for almost 3 years and I've had about 8 different favorte teams and playas.

i agree, i was a raptors fan and when vince got traded i switched to jersey.

You're not a team fan then, you're just a player fan. You're not a Nets fan, you're not a Raptor fan, you're a Carter fan. I'm dual, I'm a Laker fan & I'm a Shaq fan. I don't jump to the other team, there is a difference.

yes in short
Team Fan= sticks with the team no matter what
Player Fan= Follows a player to whereever he goes
hence you both are player fans of C-Webb and VC.

I'm not really a fan of player fans. Players come and go, teams stay forever (sometimes).

I can somewhat relate to being a "player fan". I took an interest in Washington during Michael Jordan's short stint, but the Bulls remained my favourite team. I think a lot of other Jordan/Bulls fans were the same.
Sun May 22, 2005 4:00 pm
Yep, I was a fan of the Bulls because of MJ, and Pip.
I'm a Knicks fan and fan of several players.. Some happen to be on the same team, so I often root for that team.
I'd love the Knicks to get C-Webb.

I think it's safe to say many fans also have preferences as to who they'd like to see win it all if their favourite team doesn't qualify for the playoffs or once they're eliminated, due to an appreciation of another player or perhaps a dislike of a certain player or team. I don't think that's really bandwagoning as you're not really switching "allegiances".
Sun May 22, 2005 8:11 pm
Yep, when players that interest you go to other teams you usually follow that team but not to the extent of supportiung them but just supporting ur man that plays for them. In the end, you go for your team!
