Rockets vs Mavericks (Rockets lead 2-1)

Dampier is so cocky... he claimed that he was the best center in the west...

the series is far from over.. houston had a great game.. wesley was hitting shots, so were most of their guys.. i expect Yao to perform a little better, Mcgrady will be fine again in game 2.. it depends if Wesley, Barry, James can hit shots like they did in first game..

Seriously... when i watch the Lakers this year.. their offence is kobe doing too much.. it reminds me when i play bball with sum ballhog that takes TONS of shots.. i can see/feel how the others players are just not into the game ..

Van Gundy's rockets' offence is totally different from before.. they have a lot more motion stuff than just posting Mcgrady and Yao..

My first post on this board..anyway, I'm huge Rockets fan and as much as I loved Tmac dazzle in Game 1, the Rockets overall play will have to improve if we plan on winning the series. You can't count on Dirk having an offnight and to the contrary, he'll probably step it up and give the Mavs around 30 starting with Game 2. Yao HAS to play better than in game 1 for us to keep winning...we can't count on TMac carrying the load for 48 mins. for four games and take part of the load to defend Nowitski...that's asking too much. If Yao can stay out of foul trouble, he should score about 18 - 20 points. Given that Yao scores around 18, and our role players continue to shoot well, we'll win just about any game against anyone in this league. Why? Because we are one of the few teams in the NBA that can defend well..to the point of shutting down an offense. I don't think we can really shut down an explosive team like Dallas, but we can limit them to an halfcourt game...take away fastbreak oppurtunities. As for Dampier, I think he's full of SH*T..he just plays everyone physical, Yao needs to be smarter. Just my 2 cents

who cares what others say.....Tmac is just the coolest mac around......period......and to avery johnson......well he hasn't coach in the playoffs yet ever.....compare that to jeff van and his playoffs expertise.....actually that's the only edge the rockets have for the moment.......of course there is also Tmac

I felt dallas played worst when Disco Dirk was taking the shots.. they went on a run when Terry, Vanhorn, Stackhouse were getting it offensively
