i think the rookie sophomore game needs to be reformed... its boring. very boring, and the sophomores have won by 25 + each time the last 2 years.

what do you guys think of the rookies and sophomores of the west vs. the rookies and sophomores of the east? a combined team type thing.

That Half Court lob to Josh Smith for a Windmill was insane.

My dude took the ball and switched to a windmill. What the fuck.

I would agree with the Chris Bosh should have been mvp. He played almost 35 minutes too.

It was semi entertaining. Some good dunks, but no real flashy highlights.

Rodger Lodge had one hell of a good outside shot.

it was super boring in the first.. all these open jumpshots taht missed.. then finally someone got a great dunk, luol deng. i was at my friends place and i was like "FINALLY! THIS IS WHAT ROOKIE GAMES ARE ALL ABOUT DUNKS!"

josh smith had a decent game, but he got burned by melo on that reverse one. i don no why he wasn't on any highlights. tony allen (WOW HE KIX ASS! SNUBB'D OF DUNK CONTEST!) was awesome.

did anyone see how awesome that reverse oop to smith was? NASTY!!! so pissed he missed the other 2 oops (HE ALMOST GOT THAT WINDMILL OOP!!!)

Just a slight improvement over last years rookie game which was totaly garbage Imo. The game still needs to be improved because I was actually waiting for it to get over, wasnt really enoying it. Tony Allens dunk was nice though.

I kind of like that idea, it's similar to the format they were using from 1996 to 1998 with the East Rookies vs the West Rookies. The whole rookie/sophomore aspect was used in 2000 as the class of '98 didn't have a rookie game due to the All-Star Weekend being cancelled in the lockout shortened 1998/99 season, but it's become a little redundant now.

If the NBA insists on featuring first and second year players in their own All-Star game, mixing it up with East vs West or even mixed teams (as they did with the Rookie game in 1994 and 1995) would be a nice change. Call it the Rising Stars All-Star game, and you've got an event that showcases what very well could be the All-Star matchups in a few year's time.

i like that idea a lot too andrew. it'd be better if it was mixed up because sometimes it can get one-sided (similar to the rookie/sophmore games) because maybe the east gets a helluva lot of good rookies and the west gets shit, and vice versa.

thats why i still believe kobe deserves the scoring record in that event, at 31. stupid how people think "the records by amare" and the year before that it was "the records by jrich". well, that's good they scored 31+ points, but that was because they were sophmores... beating up on rookies. very worthy..

yup they do this in the Mcdonald's game......where East plays West......the game wouldnt be decided before the tip off......I think its hard for rookies to beat sophomores...because the experience factor is really big......

I think they should also have 6 dunkers in the dunk contest but eh that aint gonna happen :lame:

I think last years celeb and rookie challenges were much better.

I enjoyed the first half this years Rookie Challenge, but then the Sophmores began playhing defense and brocke up a ton of the Rookies alley oop and unk opportunities.

and fez and hyde didnt really play that much, i wish they did.

Yeah, me too.
There team was coming back when they were in there too. Hyde did a nifty layup.

what do you guys think of the rookies and sophomores of the west vs. the rookies and sophomores of the east? a combined team type thing.

But then the Sophs would probably get all the minutes.

Maybe they should go back to East Rookies vs. West Rookies.

I think they should also have 6 dunkers in the dunk contest but eh that aint gonna happen Lame

I think they should have just let in whoever wanted in, as long as it isn't a guy that can't dunk asking in.
