The best nickname ever belongs to noone else but...

Earvin Johnson

Now if some of you kidds dont understand this name or why I claim his nick to be the best, well, thats because he is perhaps the only player in the history of the league to be known more for his nickname than actual name.

Yes, of course, Magic himself.

Fat Lever!

No really, I like The Truth, The Matrix, and Flash. The only abbreviated name I like is C-Webb, but all the other ones are shit. The ones jona mentioned are great nicknames and I never heard of a couple of them before.

I like AK-47 for the double meaning that fits so nicely, considering he's Russian and all. Of course, I like to refer to him as Ivan Drago.

Lebron James, "The Chosen." But only because he went out and got that tattooed on his back.

Larry Bird, of course, "Basketball Jesus."

As long as "Tim-Bug" came up, I loved the nickname for his killer crossover, "The UTEP Two-Step."

Though he didn't play in the League, Earl "The Goat" Manigault.

Love "Pistol" Pete.

Jerry West, The Logo.

Jason Williams, "White Chocolate."

My sentimental favorite: Tayshaun Prince as "Curious George," 'cuz, well, look at him.
The task of the artist is to translate for us the essence of things we take for granted.
