I have to say we're in the same boat here in NZ. I simply can't believe the scheduling so-far this year - especially considering that it's the start of the season & all...

Advertising games that aren't even being shown is a bad look too imo - unintentional or not...

Count me in for any petition...

we could also try and get NBL games or more tv exposure by bitching about that saying theres a lack of public knowledge of our league to a degree it is weird how the womens league has more free to air exposure even if it's more highlights on news and papers.

What you talking about special access???????? It is just cable TV.

I was glad to see that NBA Action was shown as advertised, it should be on again tonight after the replay of the Miami/San Antonio game tonight. Next Friday they've scheduled surfing for 7:30 PM, hopefully it's just a little more shuffling and we'll continue to get at least one game plus NBA action every week.

I'm also in favour of some sort of campaign to try and get more NBA coverage here in Australia, such as a petition. It might even work, so long as we phrase it more eloquently than "Give us more NBA, you fucking morons!" ;)

We could either use one of the petition sites to gain "signatures" and direct it to the attention of the appropriate people, or simply write up a petition and email it to the appropriate people with all of our email addresses included as the signatures.

Some news that everyone should find interesting. Matthew just told me about this site, though as it happens I found it earlier today trying to locate info on the ESPN International Schedule:

ESPN International Schedule (Pacific Rim)

Note that it suggests we'll be getting a couple of games per week and NBA Action in a couple of recurring timeslots. In regards to the Miami/Milwaukee game scheduled for this Thursday at 1 PM, note that the digital guide lists Streetball during that timeslot for the same time that an NBA game runs. The last time Foxtel did this, it turned out to be an NBA game. Hopefully we can expect the same thing to happen this Thursday.

Yeah, NBA basketball is still heavily outweighed, but it's there in a couple of consistent timeslots (save for a few exceptions).

I've started the petition thanks to Andrew for helping with checking on details. Here is the link to vote your say and spread the word to you friends at school or work or anyone you know who will be willing to sign i gave it a 2 month window to see if we can reach 2000 sigs if we hit more I think that will be a great target.

Use commas and full stops Dragon! Sheesh!

How are the people that read this petition supposed to take you seriously? ;) (Atleast you started the sentence with a capital, that's a start, i guess.)

Edit: Also, 2000 is a pretty steep goal don't you think? Even this petition to EA Sports only got 326 signitures.

Corssing my fingies though.

I'm hoping that people will spread the word with friends and family. The example petition I saw was a steep goal, they were hoping for 100,000 sigs but only got 438 from memory.
