i'm not sure what you call peja's shot... seems like he's off balance almost everytime he shoots it

in terms of fading and form, i think you can put ray allen high on that list

First off let me say I hate Kobe.....

but he does have the best fade in the game today!!

Nobody has mentioned Ray Allen. I have seen him drop a few fades.

Probably because this thread is about the BEST fadeaway shooter, not 1 of the best. Im not saying that Ray Allen is bad at this, hes pretty good actually. But Kobe, Garnett and T-Mac are better then him at it.

Kobe has the best fadeaway jumper.

I also like Michael Finley's jumpshot...

I don't really see Peja fading much, Reggie neither, they don't really shoot fadeaway's...

reggie i haven't seen either, but i've seen peja do it a lot of times.. i can't count how many times i've seen him burn devean george with that move

to what fgrep15 said about comparing kobe and KG's fadeaway, KG is bigger and his fadeaway are mostly inside or a step outside the paint, while kobe's are from all over and he still hits a respectable percentage

also, the shots that kobe throws up, are heavly guarded sometimes and he still hits, while KG is just bigger than most SFs, PFs and some centers, kobe is 6'6 and still does the damn thing

Well KG hardly ever plays SF, only the one year so it really doesn't matter if he's bigger than them. Kobe is 6'6, but he's a guard, KG is 7'1, but he's a PF, too bad.
If Kobe takes harder shots who's fault is that

Kevin Garnett (he reminds me of Hakeem Olajuwon in his prime, in the sense that for a 7 footer, he shoots fadeaways excellently)

Kobe Bryant (trying hard to imitate Michael Jordan... even his fadeaways. But in fairness to Kobe, he's a good mechanical "imitator")

Ray Allen (an excellent shooter. You name it from 3-pointers to fadeaways)

and yea, kobe does take some tough shots, but most of the time he doenst have a choice if he wants to get the shot off

Every single shot Allen Iverson puts up is a fadeaway, even layups. Since he can score 25-30 points off fadeaways, he has the best one!

Yes, yes I am bullshitting.

This was KG's first full season at starting PF. Of course, he played SF, C, SG and PG this year but starting wise this was his first full season at PF.

Even the year before we had Joe Smith and Rasho so we often started KG at SF.

That one minute at PG and those few at SF must be when he hits all his shots...

Yer i'd say Kobe Bryant
Though KG would be right up there aswell as Andre Miller(as another user posted, hes underrated at it)

OMG!!! at that gif!!
T-Mac actually played some Defense :P

Nice block
it'd be good if he played D like that more consistently though.

Nice block for T-mac.. "Not in my house.."

Kobe: "Ouch!"

At least Mcgrady felt the urge to play D... Kobe rarely switches on... sorry for offtopicness

Wow I feel so stupid to forget Jamal Mashburn, his is really nice, but the percentages aren't so in his favour, so that's the downfall of his.

I don't think Tmac likes Kobe too much

Say what? Kobe is one of the best defensive players in the NBA. McGrady loafs through games on the defensive end. If he put forth effort consistently he would be better than Kobe on defense because he has more natural tools.

what are you on man? kobe bryant's been on the all defensive first team the last 2 years and once during the 1999-2000 season as well as all defensive second team during 2001-2002. mcgrady hasn't even been on that team once, with his athletic ability and wingspan its hard to imagine how he can't even make it.. he could've been capable to be like pip on defense
