Hey man, did you see him in the 2-overtime game against the Pistons? He's becoming quite a player, but not good enough to start.

will he be able to create his own shot with the defense's focusing solely on him?

It sure looked like he can when Martin and Kidd were out and he was running the team. He is not even developed yet, he has to develop his jump shot and he will be another nightmare to defend.

And I said earlier, trade Kidd while you still can. As much as I like him they need some more offensive weapons so Jefferson can really shine. Well, there go the best dam fast breaks I have ever seen. They have to change their whole offense now. At least next year they will have a whole bunch of CAP space to sign somebody good. I think they should have done the Abdur-Rahim trade and they would still have a decent team. I can't believe they turned it down (Aaron Williams, Lucious Harris, and a first round pick for Abdur-Rahim). They said it was too much too offer :?.
If they did that and kept Kittles they would have a pretty good team:

C - Jason Collins
PF - Shareef Abdur-Rahim
SF - Richard Jefferson
SG - Kerry Kittles
PG - Jason Kidd

It could have been a good team if Shareef performed to his full potential. Oh well, they will still win it all next year . Nets over Spurs in 4!   Scalabrine for MVP!!!

No.He averaged 26.0 ppg without Kidd.

without martin??? without kittles???

I don't have the stats in front of me and I'm frankly too tired to look it up, since this task grows tedious after several times. He averaged over 20 ppg, that I know for sure. He looked awesome when both Martin and Kidd were out.

I agree to a point...his mid-ranged jumper is already very, very good, it's just the 3 pointer that's the problem.

I agree. While it'll kill the team, I felt if they traded Kidd and kept KMart, they would be in better shape. They're quite handicapped for the next few seasons because of RJ's contract extension (as good as he is and as much as I defend him, he didn't deserve that $$$) and Kidd's super huge contract. They'd better hope Kristic pans out.
