If Shaq leaves....it's gonna be hard to see him in another uniform other than the Lakers...

Bad news for Laker fans...Shaq/Kobe lovers alike...

Because Coach K didnt sign up.,..

Kobe may not want to resign and go to CLippers

And Shaq has a larger chance of returning but claims that it's not because of Kobe he's leaving but because of management

Therefore, both players may leave!

You heard it here first:
--Lakers won't be able to unload Shaq's salary on another team...
--Kobe signs with another team (Denver, LAC, Phoenix, etc.)
--Lakers dominate with GP, Shaq, Rush, Fisher, & possibly Malone

not exactly how much cap room they've got... they could pick up another solid veteran SG or PF in the free agent market.

I'd hold Kobe and trade Shaq. In a heart beat. Kobe is younger, less injury prone, more marketable and cheaper. As good as Shaq was once, he has passed his prime, while Kobe has his prime still in front of him. The Lakers should trade Shaq and rebuild around Kobe to build a Jordan-Bulls-like dynasty.

not sure if you noticed bender235, but every NBA Championship team in recent history except Jordan's Bulls had a big man that is a all-star...not sure if Kobe can full the sneaker that Jordan weared.

Whoever just posted that they would pick Kobe in a heartbeat should search the forums for past discussions. He'd have a blast.

Pick Kobe = many years of mediocrity a-la Magic, Raptors, Celtics, Sixers.

Pick Shaq = Immediate contention because of his singularity in the league.

Kobe can be replaced by someone like T-Mac.

Shaq can be replaced by...ok. :)

Rasheeed+Ben Wallace
Yao Ming

just naming a few
too bad im lieing lol

but basically you can find a good shooting guard around this league.
Look how many of them there are
You could even put Paul Pierce, ray allen, almost any all star shooting guard as a replacement for Kobe...not the best replacements, but comes closer than a replacement for Shaq.
Yao Ming is the closest, but obviously he doesn't draw attention like Shaq
Ben wallace got no offense so don't bother
hmmm...running outta big men..Jamaal Magloire?...na..Vladie?...ok im losing it now..

Duncan demands the double, he's a (Y) big man.

Wallace + Wallace = 2 players, that's cheating.

Yao is up and coming, he's not Shaq like attention drawer yet, Duncan is.

Btw, I'm not dreaming of getting TD, dont get all hyper on my ass.
